Installed my 5100's last night. Here's a pic from the driveway. Front end is still ~.5" higher than the front, but it's pretty close to level, and should be after it sets for a few days. I'll still be having the TSB done soon, but wanted to do the 5100s prior, so I don't have to get two alignments done

5100 front set at 2.5", No TSB yet

hey man, chek my post here "5100's done today"

i set mine at .85 and its just about even now, i expect about 1 inch from the tsb after settling. i would go 1.75 max, unless you want the nose high look. also the higher you set them the rougher the ride will be,

Alright, kind of a bump til I can get home to take pictures ( was too dark after I got it finished last night ) and kind of a question for anyone who's done this.

Front went pretty smoothly. Outside of my UCA not wanting to separate, I managed to wedge the factory assembly downwards enough to remove them at an angle upwards and towards the cab of the car, after removing the brake line holder it cleared with plenty of space. Put them back in the same way.

The rears are where I managed to run into a problem, if you can believe that. They went in just fine for the most part. The problem is, the top nut on the both rear sides, isn't tightened all the way. It's threaded, and it's very stable, but when I tried to tighten it any further, the shaft of the shock was spinning along with the nut, therein giving me no further tightening. I put the truck on the ground, thinking that I may put some more force on it and it might lift the shock a bit more through the setting, but no dice.

Like I said, the top nut is threaded, and it's probably less of a problem than I am making it out to be, but does anyone have any experience with this? I'm considering just removing the dust boot, and vice gripping the shaft while I tighten the nut on the top. Opinions?

Pics tonight when I get home! Front is ~.5" taller than the front, but it will settle, and I still have to have the TSB done ( Dealer is giving me the runaround, asking me to replicate the problem for them. I just think it's ludicrous to have to load my bed full of something, or attach a trailer to prove to them a problem exists ).

Next up on the list is having my exhaust mounted (Maybe today?)

what did you set the fronts at?

as far as the back goes, if you can look, the top of the threaded part of the shock has a allen head. put an allen wrench on there and tighten the nut with a wrench

For anyone who may run into the same problem, it's a 5mm Allen wrench that fits in the top of the shaft.

    Updated for pics!

Did you get it tightened down? Did the allen wrench fix the problem?

Yes, I got it tightened down. A 5mm allen wrench in the top of the shaft to hold it still plus a wrench will get the job done!

    Thanks for the help!

Yeah, it's an odd size to be honest, but I got them for free, so I can't complain about it. They are Michellins. Bit of rubbing under full flex in the front, but none at full tilt left or right. No diff drop yet, haven't decided if I need it or not.
