I seen santa today, He looked alot like a she, and was driving a truck, a truck that looked alot like the UPS truck. Oh well who am I to judge, she left some goodies for me.

Oh what is it? could it be my Billy 5100. But of course it was.

Ok. now that I got them I need some pointers.
    1. do you guys run the rubber boots on them, I don't like them to much.
    2. I want to pick the front level should I go to the 3rd notch or the 4th. I think I like the 4th. But I could be blinded by love!
    3. what is the easiest way to install them, not scared of work, and I have plenty of oakie-ingenuity.
    4. anything I have over looked.

I got them from Downsouth Motorsports over on ebay: http://stores.ebay.com/Downsouth-Motorsports He had the best price I could find, and free shipping .

Lave the rubber boots on. They protect the shock shaft from rocks and crap. If your gonna level, I think you want the 1.75" setting (3rd.). :)

    damn...early christmas!!!!! sweet!!!

leave the boots on them, that way dust and crap dont end up hindering their performance, and you'll barely see the boots anyway. go with the 3rd notch.......set on the 4th, gonna be super stiff. rears are easy.....fronts, gotta remove the entire strut assy, use a pair of spring compressors, and swap the shocks like that. it may be easier for you to take the strut assy's somewhere to get them to swap them, but you can diy. after you are done.......go get an alignment. then you should be set.

I think it looks great. Gotta save some coin to buy some sliders and tires. Or maybe a bumper and winch. So many mods and too little money. I need a sponsor any takers?
My K&N will be in tomorrow.

No I have not had the rear spring tsb done, it is on the to do list.
I put about 700lbs in the bed last night and drove around in my fields to get some wear marks on the frame.

I was told by the dealer that a spacer lift was the best way to level a tacoma. After some help from TacoCo and seeing your truck with the Billys on it, I have made up my mind to get a set of billys asap. Thanks for your help. Everyone here is nice and really cool. Thank you all at tacoma world for being so cool. Eddie

Is it safe to run these at the top setting all the time?
