Howdy everyone. After looking daily on ~6 different websites, I finally have entered the realm of Tacoma ownership. I haven't had a car for 5 years, and let me tell you, it is a joy to be driving a Tacoma. I researched vehicles and spoke to friends (about 25% of my male friends drive Tacos) before deciding to make the purchase.

So here it is: a black 2006 Tacoma with a manual transmission, access cab, SR5 package, & TRD Offroad. I got it with a raised & carpeted topper and just over 38,500 miles -- barely broken in.

I purchased the vehicle to be used as a daily driver and for access to trailheads, remote climbing and hiking opportunities, etc. I am leaving Tuesday for a one month hiking / climbing / canyoneering trip around the Colorado Plateau. I bought a ton of extra gear today and will be building a sleeping platform with storage below it tomorrow. I'll be happy to post pics if people are interested.

    Here it is: [IMG]

Damn. Needs some new headlights. Too bad I am broke!

Yeah I have seen the threads for the Black Head Light Mod (BHLM) and the tinted taillight mod. I definitely want to do them both. Does anyone have any info on how well the turn signals can be seen (by other drivers) after removing the reflectors (up front) and tinting them (in back)?

    Thanks for the warm welcome.

    Welcome and nice truck.

Can't wait to see the platform.

Are you broke because you are taking a month sabbatical to roam the CO plateau? :D laugh...
