You tried to get a piece of the pie - and that's cool. But it didn't work out. Instead of moving on, you threw a PM out in the open and bitched about it, expecting the pack to jump on him for not giving you his Bilsteins.

    It backfired.

You're attracting a little fire cause you stepped on your dick. It happens - I know I've done it. Now instead of calling out every single person in the thread, you could just say "fuck it - my bad, sorry about throwing that PM out there. If the deal doesn't work out OP, I'd still be interested in trading" and let that be that.

First of all why did you buy a lifted truck if you wanted a stock one???

Just seems odd that you'd waste your time and money?

O.K. Carry on with the DRAMA!;)

Hey guys...sorry if I made this thread into a circus; that was not my intent. When I initially posted as a "Feeler", I was expecting only a couple of offers and not a gazillion pms. Again sorry if I haven't reply back to you.

Long story short....I purchase the truck from my cousin who was deployed and wanted to help his wife out with a car which she can drive (automatic) His 2nd kid is on the way so it made sense to buy a larger car. I was doing him a favor by taking the truck off his hand and got a good deal at that.

Since my Company is moving office, we now have to park in the parking structure. I'm hoping to go back to stock so I dont have to worry about all the headache dealing the structure since LA has the worse clearance when it comes to parking structure. I tested out the other day and it wont fit..as it stands my lift is at 6.5 and the structure is at around 6.4-7 depends on where you park. Also my apt's carport won't fit so I've been parking on the street..PITA!!

I guess at the moment, I'm looking to go back to 100% stock - if that's not possible then I would go with the 3inch lift. I don't have any stock parts, just the stock shocks/coils. I heard I might need a crossmember. I have posted pics if anyone knows if it was chopped off? So this means you will have to give me all your stock parts and in return you will get the procomp lift. I'm not a drama person, just trying to help a TW fellow members out. I know It cost more $$ for the lift but i just rather have the convenience and not have to worry. btw I'm as noob as they come..I know enough to get by but not the installing or swapping part.

So if you live near me, (Orange County) have stock parts (preferably 07+) and know how to swap let me know. I think its too costly to hire someone. Trying to do this with zero out of cost pocket. Also I will need tires/wheels. I currently have 17wheels/35inch tires 25% thread left.

again sorry if I caused any drama..

OP, post this in the buy/sell/trade forums and someone will take you up on it for sure. They'd be getting a 6'' lift for the cost of labor only.

For the same reason, I'd suggest you only do this through a shop that you trust. Don't let some knucklehead take your truck apart who doesn't know what he's doing but is willing to try it for a free lift.

    back to bone stock.
this quote was worth the price of admission! hahahah.

i dont have a dog in this fight, but if i had stock goods, and wanted a six incher lift, i would pay for the labor for a pro to make the exchange. it would only be fair. OP wants a reliable stock truck. i think it is reasonable.

    good luck to everyone!!

i have an '06...but if you want to do a straight up swap I'm interested...would be easier to have a shop swap it out for us since you need to get the crossmember welded back into place and I would need to get my crossmember removed...for the drop bracket...

DAMN! What a deal. My buddies who have an OffRoad shop where i live would swap the suspensions for $500! To get a procomp lift, that $500 is well worth it. What a deal! Hell , maybe I should dig out my revtek lift i took off my Taco and do some damn tradin! It's collecting dust!

Good Luck whoever gets this gold mine of a deal.

I don't like 6" drop brackets and blocks in the rear, just good for bigger tires........:D:D

Seriously now, since it's a prerunner, no cross-member was cut, this would be a bolt on swap and the swap could be made in a home garage in 1 day with enough jacks and jack stands using some basic 1/2" drive ratchet, sockets, breaker bar and pry bars.

Factor in wheel alignment and miscelanea like broken bolts and small stuff.

If the truck getting the 6" is 4x4, the cross-member has to be cut in order to retain 4x4, that's the real reason I don't like drop brackets, I'm going with Allpro LT when I can get money.

Good luck in the swap :cool:
