Hello, I have been lurking for a while and took lots of advice from the DIY sections. Did all the 30 k maint stuff my self. I just not sure because Im new to foreign trucks if I got a good deal or not. I always owned Dodges/Chevy's but wanted better mileage and some reliability. I bought my truck about 2 months ago. I paid $21,000. put 5 bills down owe 16 ish.

My buddy thought that was high for a truck with almost 40k on it. I told him not for a Tacoma they hold their value. Here the specs of the truck.

2007 Tacoma Double Cab ( short box) TRD Offroad 4x4

    ...Indigo ink Color
    ...39 K Miles

Interior/exterior ( new condition) with new tires? I will put pics up later.

If you feel good about the purchase and love the vehicle it really doesn't matter if someone thinks you got hosed on the price or not.

I would say you are correct that Tacomas and usually trucks in general hold their value better. I think you got a fair deal on what sounds like a nice truck. Now post pics so we can see your purchase.

Camper top with racks, Custom fogs behind lower bumper. Interior LED lighting, Rock Lights, Hella 500s with upraged bulbs behind black billet grill, AAL, Front 5100s
That is on the level for our part of the country. With those miles I would have thought it would have been closer to 23-25.

Nice truck! And yeah, in my area that is a great deal. I would have thought you would pay closer to 24k for that.

Thanks guys, The dealership started around 22500 on the truck, I laid the 5 bills on the desk to let them know I was serious about buying, plus it was the last day of the month and it was close to closing time. The funny thing was I was pushing them to sell. I was like, what do I got to do to make you sell today? Im like heres 5 k cash....write it up at 21 and ill do it now. they bickered a bit, but I got it done.

I hear people talk about good deals at the end of the month, but I did not plan it that way, it was just coincidence. The salesman let the cat out of the bag when he said Ill talk to the GM because its the last day of the month, hes willing to deal. With that said, i stood my ground.

I'm sure I got a decent deal. Went to a Stealership, found a 09 with 32K on it. TRD Sport pckage, K&N cold air filter installed, grill work that makes it look like a FordPaid 23,000forit with all taxes, dealer related crap. Plus it's one o fhose Toyota Factory Certified jobs.Every little thing I find in error, go back and its fixed within 1/2 hr. It's getting good milage compared to the 4Runner aroound 20/mpg.

That would be a good deal in my area. I look at a lot of used trucks before I just got tired of the stupid high prices and bought a new one. A 2 year old truck here is usually listed for about 1500 under the price of a new one.

Dealers can earn extra money from the manufacturer by selling a certain amount of new inventory during a certain time period. Since your vehicle is used it would have no benefit as far as gaining any more money from the manufacturer. It does however help a sales team look a little better with another unit sold.

Yea...youre right....Not sure why the salesman said that, they really have no benefit on pre owned except some internal quota they may try to make.

Next time though....ask this question BEFORE you buy it, lol. IMO, kinda pointless to ask it now and really could make you feel like crap.
