Geezus ... I freely admit that I'm old, and I guaran-damn-tee ya that I've got more miles on me than 95% of the crew on this site. But this thread is making ME feel old!
Since I started driving Toyotas before some of y'all were born, I gotta ask- why are all these young kids driving old fart Tacomas???

Anyone young enough to be concerned about this is too young for me to take seriously. :D

Tacoma's are like Aerosmith, something for everyone, and still damn cool no matter what age you are!

Depends on what you call "old guy".
Recent survey in this forum, 36 % were under 25. Another 30% were between 26 and 35. http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/poll-399-a.html

Of course, maybe most old guys can't use a computer.
I see most 40+ folks in a full size Ford or Chevy. Not tacos. But that's around here. YMMV.

It my be that Fl. is an OLD PERSON STATE. In a lot of cases we may have some grey hair however we are young at heart. I also am sure that we've been around the Block once or Twice more than you 20 year olds or younger. Show some respect.

OLD GUYS RULE... I am a 47 year old bluehair... I can relate to all the above... Quite honestly... I should probally call my Taco my Mid-life version of a sports car. I still charge big waves, skate empty pools, play Ice hockey when I am not coaching... So, yeah maybe a mid life deal... I have had close to 100 cars in 31 years... Many many toyota trucks.. VW buses and vans, and a few SUVs.

I am old!!! BUT I F**KING LOVE MY TACO!!

Thats because wisdom comes with age. These guys have probably been through their Ford's, Chevy's, Dodge's, etc, and now ready to have a nice truck with no or very little problems.

With age comes the wisdom to buy value, and preserving value once you have it.

It also hauls a lot more Depends diapers than a Buick, so that helps with even more value at Costco...

Ironically, my truck was passed down to me from an elderly man. Taco's hold there value really well which will keep them out of the hands of most high school and college students. Ex: just try and find a clean taco with less than 100'000 miles for less than 6k

    Hey Nick,

On November 17, 2000 when I purchased my Tacoma, I'm guessing you was in the fourth grade. In your eyes, I may be older then dirt. guess what, I still drive 48 (RT) miles (75 - 80 mph) five times a week without any help from my children!

For the thieves & muggers who share your thought process about "old people", my buddy "Sig Sauer" will show them what Lock'n'Loaded means :D CCW.
