Total chaos lt in front , icon aal in back, Hannemann front fenders ( painted stock white and painted the roof black at same time), window tint thats not to dark (i had to get the last pair taken off they had to find a ticket for something...)Afe cold air intake, Alpine 102 deck, kenwood eXcelon KFC-X1730P componets, alpine s-12 shallow sub behind the seat pushed by a rockford fosgate mono 400 wt amp, Grillcraft black grill (re powdered flat black), and just installed the LCE header.
does anyone know if there is more to gain then loss in buying headers?
besides the 400 doller price tag, ive found 2 types the doug thorley's and the lc engineering's which claim to show more hp and torque throughout all rpms.

check out URD's website. They've probably even got dyno graphs before/after the headers.

I have the DT headers, so I can only speak for them.

It depends on where you expect to see a difference. If you spend all of your time at low RPM's, then you probably won't see much difference. I think I've heard someone on here say that the DT's actually lower hp below 2.5k RPM's, but there's been no dyno that I've seen to support that claim, so it could be BS:notsure:. The dynos for both the DT and LCE headers start at around 2.5k and go up from there. It's easy to get fooled into thinking that it translates into the lower RPM's too. Yes, they do make a difference at higher RPM's as the dyno shows.

The question you have to ask yourself is how much time do you spend in that RPM range and is it worth it to you.

As for me, I'm keeping my DT's on. If I take them off it will be for some LCE's or to part out all of my mods. I'm going to have to see some dyno charts below 2.5k to convince me to even consider buying some LCE's though.

i have the 4 banger DT's as well honestly i dont really feel muck of a difference in the lower RPM's but imo i think it may habe something to do with gearing. If i had the correct gearing to get "more power" to the wheels i bet i would feel a little bit of a diffrence.

but i think theyw were worth it i can deff feel them in the upper RPM's when i step on it and it does wonders for the sound as well. they are also pretty easy to install your self i did a write up on them if you wana check it out.

but anyway i think they are worth it if you have the money and the time to install yourself!

I have Doug Thorley Tri-Y Ceramics. They were worth it to me because my crappy cast iron manifold was cracked, and I did notice a significant top end power increase afterwards.

If your manifold is not cracked and/or is of the "mini header" design, I don't think it's really worth it.

BUT, it is one of the easiest power mods you can do. Definitely not the cheapest, tho.

The one I was thinking of has been removed. Shows up in the thread bud doesn't play. He has others, but they're of the Jardine exhaust w/o the headers.

well here is my set up to give you an idea of what it all sounds like but i dont have the jardine exhuast.

the vid is kinda crappy cuz it was well dark and im retarded and cant tape and drive at the same time haha.

this is what i got: 08 4 banger, 2wd(nonprerunner), auto trans, DT header, KNN intake, and 18" magnaflow single in dule out.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-Kc_AOizoI

hope this helps out a little even though its not exactly what you were all lookin for

I have a LCE header and jardine cat back exhaust. Big power difference - worth every penny. I would also recommend adding a new intake like a K&N.
