Arb bumper

ok so i put on my arb bumper yesterday and was not happy with the gap in the front. I readjusted it today and it only went in a little bit further is this right? Are there any more adjustments i can do

 

That's just about where it is going to sit. If you are talking about the picture looking down at the top. You do want some clearance between the bumper and the body or it will rub or even more annoying make a thumping noise every time they come together. I don't know if you have driven it around yet but you will see that bumper moves around more than you think. These frames are like noodles.

 

ok yeah thats what i was telling myself. i just thought it would be more flush but i did drive it and it does wiggle so i see why its gonna sit off the body a little

 

I wouldn't let the gap bother me too much. I think it looks really awesome man. Nice truck!

 

Good looking set-up you have there. I’m getting ready to pull the trigger on an ARB bumper. Any tips for installation? What size and brand winch did you go with?

thanks. its pretty easy you will need about 2 buddies to help but other than that and about 4 hrs nothing to it. i went with a warn m8000 cause they had a good deal on them at 4wp. it fit nicely i ran my wires for the winch box under the hood. it looks alot cleaner not on the bumper!! good luck

 

looks like your front is sagging a bit with that weight, you going to upgrade your springs to compensate for that weight?

 

Fo Sho it dropped it like an inch. what is the best to do. just stiffer springs

When you flex on the trail you will thank the gap. Great looking bumper btw.

 

I know Old Man Emu makes springs specifically designed to carry the extra weight of the ARB bumper, i think they're called "886 Coils"
