Gonna be purchasing a diamond for the lady soon, and then of course a house not too long after. Hate to see it go, especially with the money in it...and only having it since September.

However, I will be picking up an 05 4runner, with a 3.5 inch complete coil kit, toyo mt 33s, XD revolvers, bumpers, on-board air, headers, exhaust and tons of URD goodies :woot: so not too bad of a deal really.

There, got it off my chest, I feel better now. Tell me what yall think about the new rig.

Not much......college student using the GI Bill to survive.
Good luck man. Do your research for the ring. Avoid going to the mall stores. They're prices are high as hell because of the rent they must pay. Take a friend so you can always walk out or have more leverage. A great site that teaches you about cut, color, clarity and carats is Pricescope.com http://www.pricescope.com/ You can't go wrong by educating yourself. Diamonds are like cars, they aren't all the same.

Canadian diamonds...mined and cut in Canada from Ekati or Diavik. Get one with paperwork. Pick one with better clarity and cut over weight. You can't get much better than that!

On another note, I never really understodd selling something just to get extra cash. Especially if you have lots of cash tied up in it... always seems to be a loss. Good excuse to get a runner though! Getting married is pretty cool too.

Thanks guys. Im pretty excited myself about the whole ring thing. I appreciate the advice too about buying it. Its my first ring, and hopefully my last haha.

It saves money because ive made a pretty big dent in what I owe on the truck considering its a 10. Im gonna pocket some money from selling it, as well as cut my payment in half.

    Goooood gracious

I got engaged last year and bought my tacoma the same month I gave her the ring. I figured that way what could she say. Also I told her I was going to need a truck to renovate the house we were buying which was true. You might want to try that one. Good Luck with everything and I do like that your 4-Runner.

sweet runner...also concerning the ring if your lookin for a one carrot size, get just under one carrot. once the size hits 1.0000, the price jumps a ton. i got my legal wife a 0.92 carrot and couldnt tell the difference between that and the 1.02 carrot, but saved me almost $1500!!

that 4runner is sick, but consider this. If you are getting a house make sure you have easy access to a trailer, having a truck is mandatory if you own a house. I was without a truck for awhile and it is a pain in the ass when you gotta wait for your dad or brother to bring theirs just because you got something that your wife really wanted and no way to get it home. I really know this from experience, so if you think about it keep the truck for her, she is going to want you to work on the house and you gotta have a truck for that.

Although the 4runner is sick, try to keep the tacoma.

I have 2nd pick up for a daily driver, and I have a trailer...so that shouldnt be too much of an issue. Shes not telling me to get rid of it at all, im just trying to cut down some monthly expenses.
