Herculiner now has some UV protection if you wanted to keep that same texture, etc. No clue what it'll do for already weathered material, but its not very expensive.

oh I know, I was just piggy-backing on your thread so we don't have two "black paint" threads right next to each other. I was coming here to post a new thread with the exact title but re: the front grille logo. Sorry.

After you find the paint your looking for......keep it covered with aerospace 303. I use the stuff on my finders, tonno, ect. It has UV protectors in it that really seem to work well.

ok so i sprayed it with speed e-namel first, then sprayed it with aerospace 303, looking good at the moment, so let's see how long it will last... :)

I haven't, but planning to pick up some Herculiner next week to do the same to the fenders and front bumper.

The original owner had put some type of bed liner on the fenders at one time, but its old enough that its coming off. I sanded down the rears and sprayed it with a fine textured Rustolium for plastic and it it looks ok, but not quite the look I want, so just going to end up reapplying the bed liner I think.
