using a highlift without sliders??

is it possible? where would i place the jack? i dont have money for sliders but i do have a highlift, and my jack for the truck broke on me the other day

 

high lifts have a bunch of accessories that you should be able to use to get it off the ground with no body damage

x2 on the hi lift accessories. There's something to lift from the wheels but I don't think that would be good for swapping a spare on there. For the rear you could use the hitch.

yeah im looking to use it instead of replacing my broken stock jack. so i would need to able to swap tires and such.

 

I have a reciever hitch on the front and the back. I use the hi lift in the recievers to lift the front or back. The truck is lifted and a stock jack doesnt work for me. I don't have sliders

They make recievers for the front of tacomas. It is a simple bolt up.

i use the hi-lift lift mate and bring a jackstand along to drop the axle on to swap tires. works perfect

 

yes but where do you put the highlift as to not damage the body? that the problem.

if you have a jack stand, you can use the wheel-mate to do the actual lifting, and still be able to swap out a tire

 

Sorry Threadjack. This is what I want. Going to be getting one of those hitch mount winches b/c i don't exactly want one permanently attached. Got a buddy that has this mounted on his jeep and works freaking great.

 

Get the hilift wheel adapter. I use one on my truck, and keep a 6 ton jackstand with me when going on long adventures off road.

 

I wouldn't recommend getting a Hi Lift to replace your home jack. Get a good beefy floor jack for use when your working on it in your driveway or garage.

You will not be able to jack from anywhere on a stock truck unless you have the wheel accessory as mentioned, or two receiver hitches front and back. But even then that's pretty inconvenient imho.

Hi Lifts should be used on the trail, and in conjunction with jack stands if you're going to be underneath it.

I just read something that could make using the hitch a bad idea. The truck could go side to side and the hi lift could slip out of it or be moved to an angle.
