2 Tire Questions...

I've got a 2010 Double Cab 4x4 Sport with the 17" factory rims...

I am looking to get a more aggressive off road tire that will perform well in muddy conditions mostly but also snow. Anyone have a preference for a tire that fits those needs and will also fit the factory 17" rim that comes with a 4x4 Sport?

I am also considering all new rims and tires. I don't plan on lifting my truck, so I would be looking for a rim and tire recommendation that would fit my 2010 without a lift. I am looking for an all black rim.

265/70/17 a mud or all terrain will fit your needs.

keep your rims, the sports rim are decent and also look good if painted black. lots of tire choices out there....

 

can be a Yokohama MUD G001 265/70/17...the will fit..

 

I like nitto's or bridgestone for tires. Rims- There are WAY too many options out there for us to tell you what we like-You just gotta find ones you like.

Something to think about: 16 inch rim gives more sidewall and a more complaint ride (More rubber between to the rim and the road).
Also gotta find a color/finish that matches your theme.

 

i like Nitto's and Toyos both A/T but the Nittos run a little bit taller in 265/70/17. When I first bought my truck I didn't care for the stock tires and bought Toyo Open Country A/T's in 265/70/17 and cleared fine without a lift. Now I'm running Nitto Terra Grapplers,same size with a small lift (Billies,1.75") and they're close to rubbing.

 

Thanks for the responses... These factory tires have definitely got to go before the fall hunting season. They are worthless for off road driving.

 

i would go with the black 17" konig countersteer type x with either nitto terra grappler or bfg all-terrain both in 265/70R17.
