Front End Problem

    I have a 1999 Toyota Tacoma 2.7L Standard Cab. My front end snapped at both of my ball joints, and my CV axle was ripped out yesterday. My suspension is really rough as it is, I was wondering if anyone had any advice on fixing my front end, should i put it back OEM, or would it be better to go ahead and upgrade my front end.

    Add'l info:
    - 3 inch body lift
    -35 inch tires on 16inch rims
    - 2 1/2 inch coil spacers w/ add a leafs in the back

    Upgrade it, and by that I mean lose the spacers. Did you happen to jump it?

    Im not sure what you mean by jump it, but i was going 65 mph and hit a bump. So you think i should lose the spacers, and replace all the parts OEM? Would the spacers cause my suspension to feel stiff?

    Yes, and they may be what caused the damage. It may be difficult to find OEM UCAs. I would suggest getting Camburg or Light Racing or even Total Choas UCAs, a set of Billy 5100s with a 1/4" top plate spacer. The ride will be a lot smoother. There are also higher end coilovers available that won't require the top plate spacer for the full 3".

    1995-2004 Toyota Tacoma - Bilstein 5100 Series Leveling Strut / Shock (Adjustable 0" to 2.5" FRONT Lift)

    Im looking at these for my front end, and it says strut/shock and i know a strut is a combination of different suspension parts, so does this item replace the shock and the coil?

    It only replaces the shock. You reuse your stock coil. Check these vendors out
