My first Tacoma

Just sayin' hello. Just got my first Tacoma a few weeks ago. I've been driving Tundras since 2001 I guess and I've owned 4 of them. My last was a 2008 LTD Tundra. Loved the truck but finally got tired of the size.

Now, I'm in a Tacoma and absolutely love it!!!!! It's Black sand pearl 2010 Prerunner with TRD off road package. Had factory heated leather put in, and had to do some searching to find one with the JBL audio system, bluetooth, and satellite radio but found one. Also added a bed extender and some Westin running boards installed.

Just wanted to say hello and glad to be a part of the Tacoma family

Just wasn't using it for what it was built. I have a boat that weights over 8000 lbs on a trailer and pulled that a few times. I know this truck can pull it but trust me, you know it's back there. Nothing against the Tundra. It had a monster engine that I just didn't use that much and if my wife wanted to borrow the truck she felt like she was driving a semi. This is the newer models, not the older style.

Also, I have a buddy who has a diesel dually truck which pulls my boat a lot easier. And I only pull it maybe once or twice a year.

Therefore, for my everyday needs the Tacoma is the real winner. But I will always love the Tundra.

I Had a 4runner. Almost went with a Tundra, but like you, seemed bigger than I needed - especially where my work takes me - some offroad and narrow trails.
