Any reason you went with with air shocks? Besides price? I ran 16" air shocks on my 3 linked 92 and wasn't a huge fan of its road characteristics.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
Fine thread is stronger both in tension and shear because they have a larger minor diameter.

Compairing ORI's to air shocks is like apples and oranges. These things will out preform an air shock any day of the week. And price was not why seeing how they are more then coil overs

    ...too much shit to list.
They don't come loose as easily as coarse threads and they are about 10% stronger due to less material cut away and larger minor diameter.

Shock bolts take a beating. I have my whole front end tore apart right now and 4 of the 6 shock bolts holding my coilovers and bypasses are bent...and that's 1/2" grade 8 bolts. But I didn't say JUST shock bolts. I only mentioned it cause that's what I saw.

Yeah alot of race teams are starting to run them. They have a lot of pros and very little cons. And just right for what i'm going to be using the truck for.

Yeah most of the bolts on the new setup are 5/8th. I did go with the 9/16 bore on the ballistic joints and 1/2" misalignment on the ORIs if i have issues with those i can up them to 5/8th i just wont have as much misalignment.

Those are gorgeous...and I thought my SAW's were pretty :)

And do those have an internal Coil? Plus having adjustable air pressure...like motorcycle forks? Or is it all Air pressure?

Its a dual chamber air shock no coils. The upper chamber dictates the ride hieght and the lower chamber in the shaft set the spring rate.

Interesting. Sounds like it will yield a buttery smooth ride.

Honda has added coil-less forks on their 450 motocross bike this year...makes for a great ride and easy tuning.
