I installed new OEM rotors and pads earlier in the week and also found some time over the weekend to get the new OME D6XL AAL added to my Dakar spring packs. Currently looks like an additional 1.5" of lift, but that will probably settle some as the spring breaks in. I can already tell the load handling will be better. The rear of the truck feels much more sturdy and planted. From the drive to work today I can't tell much of a difference in ride quality. That might be different in the dirt, so we'll see. Install was simple and thanks to Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters for the parts and some good tips on the install.
For anyone running the Dakar springs you've probably found that they don't handle much extra load very well at all. This D6XL (1st-gen) AAL should give a dramatic improvement in load capacity.

before. Dakar rears, and AllPro 1.5" shackles
    side_c11a101af8eaa12acef11db28ddb72957f680d18.jpg

After. Dakar rears, D6XL AAL, AllPro 1.5" shackles. it's also worth pointing out a slight weight increase in this photo from the before photo. In the after photo, the spare tire is back under the truck, and although minimal weight, the shovel and hilift have made their way onto the topper rack. So maybe 100* additional weight over the before photo.

you need to tint your front window to match the rear tint of the truck. it would look so good.

You mean like this? Been there done that. 16% tint. Had it for about 10 months before I got tired of it.

If you were to do it again would you stay with the ome set up and aal or would you go with the all pro expos?

Personally I would stay with the OMEs and AALs. The only change I can think of is with the shocks, not because I don't like the OME NitroSport shocks, but with the AAL and the longer shackles that I have my rear travel is currently limited by the shocks. I'm trying to decide if I want to build new shock mounts and continue using the OME shocks (which I like) or possibly getting some Bilstein 5150s that are longer.

I saw you got your grab light at a local warehouse... Does it have the manufacturer's name on it anywhere? I really want something similar to this.

Great looking truck man! Yeah I have the OME Dakar pack as well and when I haul anything and when I have sandbags in the back for winter i get a nice bro lean. I'm adding toytec 1" lift shackles to try and compensate for it a little, I'll definitely be looking into that AAL in the future. I also really like the trailgear front bumper you've got, I just installed their rear bumper last week and I want to get the low profile front bumper at some point.

Thanks for your thoughts on it i am yet again debating dakars and aals versus the expos. I'll probably create yet another thread trying to make the right decision so I don't clutter your build up. Truck looks great btw, I really like what you've done with it.

A few updates. First, a couple older interior pics I've forgotten to post up.

    Alpine Deck, Uniden CB/ext speaker

Not a great photo, but I found some 'cheapo' seat covers at Autozone. Came as a set with both fronts and one for the rear seat. Overall pretty good fit for some generic off the shelf covers.

Found a sweet deal on a DeeZee bed mat. It was for a fullsize but I just cut it to fit. Nice added protection for the bed (even though its already lined)

Next up. I got the Trail-Gear lightbar welded up and painted on the Trail-Gear Low Profile bumper.

I've also meant to show some better photos of the SnugtopXTR and a couple simple mods I've made to it.

First I used some 2" conduit brackets to attach a couple of the extra Thule load bars that I had lying around.

Then I used a Swagman Bike clamp with a ubolt to mount the shovel.

    _MG_1918_7988d9734f455b35878f39620228bc58c218adff.jpg

Couple more ubolts and the Hilift was mounted on the other side.

    _MG_1919_189994d78d6329bf15f4da823ed3e69abbf25bcd.jpg

Now just a few photos (hopefully better than the cell phone pics I posted earlier) of the top.
