Just to clarify, you ditching the factory rear load-sensing brake proportioning valve and using a fixed one?

Here is how I replaced mine

The red #1 fittings are the lines going to the rear brakes from the master cylinder

The yellow #2 fitting is the return line from the stock proportioning valve, excess pressure is diverted to the front brakes

The green #3 fitting is the line going to the left front brake from the master cylinder

The blue #4 fitting is from the junction of the rear brake return and the incoming front brake line from the master cylinder, and goes to the fitting just under the inner a-arm pivot to the left front brake

Now your going to completely remove lines #4 and #2 and discard. Your going to take line #3 and connect to the fitting under the arm that line #4 used to connect to

Here is how I replaced my LSPV

The rear is very easy. As said your are discarding line #2. You then take the stock LSPV and discard it. That leaves line #1 to connect directly to the rear brake line coming off the axle

Then under the hood your going to connect the Wilwood proportioning valve in between the master cylinder and other end of line #1. I did have to remove the two bolts that hold the master cylinder and slide it forward and completely close the proportioning valve to get the valve to be able to clear when you spin it around to tighten on to the master cylinder

The brake lines did have to be bent around quite a bit but if you use your hands and make sure you dont make all of the bend in one spot it will be fine. Just make a slight bend, slide down the line a little and bend more, slide, bend etc. Thats all you have to do and all of the parts needed are right here

Nice writeup, what made you decide to put it under the hood? Mine I just left in the back and my buddies crawler we put it in the cab so he can adjust on the fly.
anyhow nice keeping it out of harms way.

    yes

I only swapped out the stock one because my limit strap mount on the axle was going to hit it on full bump, so I couldnt put this one in the same place. I was going to put it in the front wheel well where the distribution blocks were, but those fittings are too long for the prop valve. The only place I could put it with the parts I had was on the master cylinder. I had to use the union to mount the valve to the cylinder since both fittings were female, which is why I still have one of the dist blocks hooked up

Woot! Everything aligned in "spec" in my front end, and my rear is only off by 1/10 of a degree. Not bad installation if I say so myself

Just looking over my alignment numbers and noticed that my rear end is closer now than it was stock. I guess I lined everything up pretty good :)
