    Hmmmm well, I'm not that worked up about it lol. If I find one, then it was meant to be, but I don't know that I'd hold out that long for something I'm on the fence about.

    Drive it in the dirt, not the street. Auto transmission gear hunting pisses me off. Even shifting the auto manually sucks. Never shifts when I want it to.

    Yea that's what I hate about the auto. It turns into a potato quite often when I'm trying to pass or something. trying to convince the wife now, she thinks it's a bad idea I might have to buy her something

    I wouldn't want an auto in a 1st gen, but I don't mind my auto in my 2nd gen. The 5 spd auto has pretty similarly gear ratios to the 1st gen 5 sdp manual. I haven't really noticed any gear hunting issues with mine, but I'm running 4.88's with 33's so I'm always at a higher RPM. Only complaint I have is when I am in the dunes it takes too long to drop back into 1st gear if I need it. 3rd to 2nd is fine but 2nd to 1st waits about 1000 rpm too long... If I was boosted I'd be fine but my N/A motor doesn't make enough power are 3000 rpm to keep a hill climb in the sand going...

    Modern AT's are pretty good (especially in stop and go traffic), don't get me wrong on that. But I would have liked to have the choice. I grew up on them and my last car was a MT.
