Hello, I’m new to the forum and am looking to buy a ’97-'00 Tacoma 4x4 V6. I’ve been told these are pretty good years, and you can pick them up for a reasonable price (<$5K). Are there any specific issues with these years (auto or manual)? Are these years plagued by the head gasket problems on the V6? Any general advice on what to look for (and more importantly what to stay away from)? Anything I should have a mechanic check out prior to buying? What major services should be done past 100K miles?
    Thanks! John
