I recently got a 2002 Tacoma Prerunner with a 2" lift. I am not sure about the specifics on the lift because the guy I got it off of said it was like that when he bought it. I do not know much about building up a Prerunner but I would like to build this thing up myself with some help from the community.

I would like to make this thing able to tackle pretty much anything (besides crazy rock crawling) without losing on road smoothness.

I took her out the other day and was hearing some funny noises so I think I want to start out with some suspension upgrades.

    How she sits now:

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated

Nice Truck. Looks like you got a basic spacer lift. Whats your budget like? You can do whats really popular here is the Bilstien 5100's or coilovers with new leaf pack. Or even long travel if you have the money.

I'd be willing to spend around $500-$700 to get the suspension legit. I dont think long travel is an option for a while so im probably just needing some nice coilovers

i hate to say it but $700 wont get you a set of good coilovers... unless they are 2.0 diameter or used.

i'd save up your money and do it right the first time, it's cheaper that way.

get a goood front OE replacement coilover (SAW, KING, FOX, ICON...) a 3 leaf add a leaf pack (wheelers offroad or Icon) and some good rear OE replacement shocks (OME, Icon, Bili 5100)

hit up the TW vendors and see what they can do for you price wise: wheelers offroad, or downsouth motorsports. all in all you're going to need about $1,200 give or take to get the entire suspension done the way i just described. install not included. or you could go 5100's all around and an AAL out back... thats cheaper, but the performance will be less

Id say find some used coilovers. And exactly what Matt said. Get a 3 add a leaf pack in the rear with some 5100's and that would be a great ride. Becuase the 3 AAL is only $150
