lengthened wires on speed sensor and plugged in.
It didn't work. unplugging the battery now to reset,
then going to try and drive it.

    Update:

After Driving the truck, It now shifts normal and goes into overdrive.

    But

The RR DIFF LOCK light is still on, and its dim when I'm in park,
yet when I shift into gear it lights up brighter. and the O/D on off button works, and it seems to dim/ brighten the RRDL light as well.

and my engine temp, speedometer, RPM's and Odometer still do not work.

I would think an apartment in between work and school would be cheaper than the gas!!!

I live 5 miles from work, and 2.5 miles from school

Haha yes! hey so does any one happen to have a pair of busted, old, unused,
    CV's?

Because if I don't bring in a pair, autozone wants a 100 dollar Core charge!!

making the total 150 and change instead of just 50.

    Thanks :D

Nice build, man! Have you tried yodajims.com? He's got just about every part you could imagine! haha I haven't bought anything from him yet, though so I'm not sure how he is on pricing, but hey, you might as well call him. :)

    Hi!
Hope you dont mind me bringing this thread back, but i've been searching for a couple of weeks now and i couldnt find an answer on how to wire up the transfer case.

I noticed in the pic that you have the transfer case with the Actuator, I'm wondering ... how did you wire it up?

I have an 01 prerunner and have most of the parts for the conversion except a transfer case and f/r drive shafts. the one you have seems to be the most abundant one available so i wanted to go with that option. in anticipation, i already have the shifter knob :D

also, did you have to swap the ECM? add a 4wd ECU ? change /add wiring?

its quite curious that the forums dont have this info.
(if they have it, i havent stumbled over it yet)
Im hoping to write it up later for others as reference if they want to do the same...

    Thanks!

    CK

Damn it I just accidentally deleted my longer response, anyway, yes the info is damn hard to find. i ended up going all manual so I didn't have to worry about any actuators, I bought a second transfer case with the j shifter. But anyway no you don"t have to mess with any computers or ecm's or ecu's, you just need a simple switch. and whatever transfer case you choose, Go manual hubs up front.
But no worries I have a diagram I was given from ttora. one sec

And yeah my bad I haven't updated this thread, Been answering questions as they come along in pm's. maybe once I fix my stupid gears up front and wire the light ill update

If you would like to wire it here is a pic of the inside of my actuator and what each contact does:

And here is what the e-locker wiring looks like:

Now you're going to have to do some bench testing to put it all together. 'Common' is wire #7 on the e-locker diagram. 'Motor 1' and 'Motor 2' will be wires 5 & 3. I can't tell you which, you'll just need to experiment. 'Limit 1' and 'Limit 2' will be wires 1 and 2. Again, I can't tell you which without testing it. Don't worry about wires 4 and 6 on the e-locker diagram unless you want to wire the 4WD light. Concentrate on getting the actuator working with a DPDT switch first.

What you are trying to accomplish is to allow the actuator to turn in one direction until it hits the end of the limit contact going one way. Then, when you flip your DPDT switch in the other direction, you want to reverse polarity to the motor making it spin in the opposite direction until it hits the limit switch on the other side.
