I am looking at around 10,000 lumens for a 20" bar. Which from my understanding is par for the course as far as brightness goes. If I can get a little better heat dissipation I can turn them up even brighter. But with 4 leds on a 6" bar its is running about 130*.

Yea heat is a killer with the LEDs.

All about optics too though for distance.

Yeah, I plan on doing all spot optics, I am just going to cut an angle on the outer leds to spread the light out. And hmm... the faster I drive, the more airflow going over the light bar, the better the cooling = the more power I can put to them = the brighter the light!

    Those lights are sweet!

And my motive sounds like the plot from "speed:22 can't stop now or my lights will burn up"

So when are you gonna get this thing painted? And when you do, how hard is it going to be for you to remove all that wiring!?

Yep. Right in the center joint

    Easy. 6 quick disconnects

I have no idea when it'll get reprinted. I'd much rather have long travel lockers gears and a crawl box and 35s before I pay 3 grand for a nice paint job.

Awesome, I figured you had it all figured out. I was just curious haha

I definitely know who I'm going to for all my questions when I start adding lights to my truck!

The way see it, with you making it so trail capable, you should just bed line it or something. No point in putting on a new paint job just to scratch it up, unless you've already got this figured out too haha

Nah I just want the old color :D paint condition over all in terms of scratches has never really bothered me. If it gets scratched...it gets scratched. Haha

And you bet man. Definitely know my way around wiring now

Haha yeah, makes sense. I hate when others put dings or scratches in my paint, but they don't understand why it doesn't bother me to scratch the paint myself when trail-riding...

I'm sure you do! Mine isn't going to be so technical though... 6 HID 6 inch lights, 2 fogs, rock lights, under dash lights, and backup lights.

I'm debating on switching out the stock dash lights for led orange just to be brighter, I like the orange. Probably be one of those mods that I'll do when I'm bored...

Yeah... Haha I can't think of any others that I would want at this moment. Debating on going with led fogs like D2's or fogs like yours...

Fogs are supposed to be a low beam light with a wide spread with a low mounting position to help increase visibility in foggy low visibility situations.

The d2s aren't that haha they are killer bright. But it also depends on what you want outa your setup. I have the lf240s for my high beam driving lights so I opt for the true low light option. Although they aren't really mounted low enough but I'm not about to change that haha

Haha true... Probably go with fogs like yours then. Still not sure if I want to do the same setup I had on my last tacoma with the roof lights. I like the clean look without it but I like having it for trail riding...
