sounds like a lot more work then buying a extra cab with a manual trans.
oh well, i'll be content with a auto.

i'm definitely getting a DC, and a extra cab with a bobbed bed seems to be a decent setup.

i love the manual in my current truck, there's nothing like working the clutch and the shifter, it's addicting.

Ya I hate driving autos now.. It's just boring. I don't see how people driving an auto don't wreck due to lack of paying attntion.. When I'm driving auto sometimes I catch my attention drifting because it's all so monotonous and boring. Hit the gas and go

I love my auto for crawling and offroading in general. I like my manual for DD'ing though. They are just more fun to drive.

You are such a dam dirty hypocrite! My god haha!

I hope you or ben roast a clutch in wyo. i will just laugh hysterically at both of you.

 come on man thats just fucking stupid. So you drive a manual..hit the highway and put it in 5th and leave it. just like an automatic. so now you are bored again. Driving around town. if you are bored driving around town...maybe you should pay a bit more attention to whats going on around you then?

    yep haha!
I can agree with this. My truck is for wheeling, i would rather have an auto for wheeling. done.

Yes, for off roading I would hate to drive a manual. I could do a manual for daily driving, I just prefer the manual. I've never driven a manual 1st gen though.

I can't imagine it's much different than driving any other manual.

Monte has a point with the drivefast thing though... I haul ass in my little car and spin the tires a lot. Good thing it's too slow to get me in much trouble ticket wise. haha

The Taco is hit and miss. Sometimes I drive it a little faster, but usually I just putt around.

If you're geared wrong then yes, a manual can blow offroad. If you have enough gear ratio manual is no problem offroad. It does take more concentration/activity in the cab no matter how you're geared tho.

Haha well they are the death of humanity. If everything was stick txting and driving..gone for the most part..can do your makeup very well in traffic. It allows people to believe they can multi task better...which they can't. This more accidents..haha

And I won't. I'm putting in a brand new ceramic clutch haha no way it'll die on this trip.

Helllll no haha that would be way harder and such a pita. You'd need a way to lift the cabs off. Plus you'd still have to cut for the tranny..install the clutch pedal, master cylinder. And you'd still have to swap ecus..possibly still the wiring harness too.

Take a man to drive stick offroad :p

Yes I drive so much more aggressive with a manual haha although my dads exhaust and sc make me wanna pin it a lot...haha

    Aka..fun haha

Like what a crawlbox? haha At that point it is basically an auto with a clutch anyway. There is a guy that I wheel with who is a manual without a crawlbox, but he has 5.29 gears and a 4.7 tcase so it pretty much acts the same. I've seen him walk it here and there, just doesn't walk as good as dual cases.
In my opinion I think it is pretty hard to break a CV on 33's without a front locker, especially if you are still running OEM CV's.

Oh and I did most of my texting and driving with my manual. Hell I got to where I could drive my car with my knees. haha. Could even take a right turn from a 4 way intersection and shift gears mid turn without using my hands other than to move the shifter from 1st to 2nd of course. I'm a little rusty now though... haha

Yeai doubt it though..unless I get too carried away with throttle and my weight comes into play and I hop..which ain't likely haha

    You text and drive?!

    Shame on you
