    Yea the speedo is a bitch. Is your mechanical?

    Moving the needles doesn't work well for calibration. It could be on at the lower speeds but be off more on the upper speeds.

    actually a 97 would be your golden year.

    -less emissions BS on it only one cat
    -will take boost fine like any 01-04
    -find them cheap

    you could use a 96 though too and get a 97 ECU.

    01-04 will be way more money then you will ever want to spend with a 5vz and r151.

    not that i don't like seeing a 96 die..but i don't like any good working taco just cut up for parts. That thing just needs some work and it would be a great truck for someone.

    if you're just dropping the motor and overhauling it...the 97 motor would be better man..you could get rid of the cats easier and have less emisions BS. best way to go really.

    then just put your motor in the 97 truck and sell it..get all your money back and then some possibly.

    true..but..could always register it as an "offroad vehicle" haha wouldn't be street legal though..so no good there.

    but that is easy to work around anyways. Just keep the cats handy and bolt em on for the test, load a more conservative map and go test.

    Supra dudes did that all the time with 3'' Test pipes. Be a 3'' tube that bolted in where the cat went so you'd run cat less till testing haha

    really..that link is right..BUT..its a front diff for the old SA trucks. or the clamshells. the pics are a bit misleading on that page. If you read it it tell you that they are all fronts.

    which is true.

    7.5s are have have been front diffs for..every.

    except its wrong in several ways as in 2005 the tacoma got a 8'' front IFS diff. 4runner got the same 8'' front diff in 2002 for the 4th gen 4runner.

    so..that link isn't totally right either that you posted.
