Bumper paint - two tone paint

My 02 Tacoma is Lunar Mist (Silver). I want to paint a darker metalic gray two-tone stripe at bottom, and also include the fender flares and bumpers. I have never seen anyone paint the bottom plastic part (valance) of the front bumper. I think that it would look good if it is the same color as the top part ( my bumpers are color-keyed, not crome). Is there any reason why it can not be painted?

 

I bet that would look good. Just be sure that the width of the painted area (inches wise) is about the same on the side of the truck so as to match the bumpers.

 

I finally did it and I am really glad I did.
