Did some late night shopping a few days ago and finally bought some one-piece "spyder" headlights. Tested the led's today and will be sure to seal them before I install...

...my current headlights and corners will be for sale soon.

I also welded some tabs for two OKLEDLIGHTBARS 6-LED pods with Amber Covers I had around to use through the stock bumper lower valance since I have it on for winter...

Can't wait for the pictures of those installed and the led pods! Are you going to put them where the turn signals are now?

Here you go! I've tried to mount pods or 6" bars in the turn signal area before, but they never fit right or filled enough of the hole, so I just welded tabs to the support behind the valance.

Here's what the one-piece lights look like after being installed and wired into the running lights. The led strip color is as white as the led pods, just looks weird in the pictures. The headlights definitely fit into the fiberglass better than the old corners...and I think it'll look better once the road salt stops and I put the front bumper back on.

...shortly after this picture, the headlights passed their first automatic car wash test without seeing any condensation inside of them. (I sealed them before I installed.)

Can you describe what steps you took to seal them?

Sure, it might be unnecessary but after seeing some threads on here where people had water leaks, I basically covered every spot on them where the clear lens meets the black housing with a thin bead of clear silicone. Just enough to fill the tiny gaps and I also filled the holes where the led wires come out.

I did the same process on my old headlights that were from eBay and they never had water issues, so hopefully it works again.

Those look killer! I really want to find an alternative for those unused turn signals on my truck. Did you take any pictures of the leds in those spots?

I don't have any pictures of them in the holes, but I've seen somewhere on TW where someone put 8" single row bars in the bumper holes with some dremel-ing. I'll pm you if I can find anything helpful.

Yeah, I drilled through the roof. It's just a few small holes, and never had any leaking using silicone with the mounting bolts that went above the headliner. I'm looking to sell the labrak mounts if interested.

I removed the mounts and sold my lightbar recently and put some rubber plugs in with some silicone and you can't even tell the holes were there unless you are looking down on the roof. I hope to get a new lightbar and fab some new mounts in the spring. :D

Well, I was wrong about leak-proofing the headlights..haha. Just like most others, I noticed my one-piece headlights started to have small amounts of misty water inside the lens, so I'm in this process now...

It's my first attempt at a retrofit, so we'll see how it turns out. I should be finished tomorrow, and will post some finished pictures.

Finished and installed the retrofitted headlights! Fun project, most difficult part was definitely getting the lenses off.

I painted the entire housing flat black to match the other parts of the truck. I'm looking forward to see it all come together when I put the front bumper back on soon, which I took off to avoid the Ohio road salt.

Thanks to toendanger and Rubio92 for the help and write-up!

Lights look great. Any chance you can post a photo of your truck straight from the front? I'm interested to see how the fenders look without long travel suspension. Do you know what the BS is on your wheels?
