The winks were supposed to be hints to get down here and let's do this! Although you should ok this all through Konsta first. I can't speak for him or his shop.


He said to just mark out what all you need to cut on the outside and then just drill through to the inside on the corners and use that to make your marks on the inside and start cutting. The drilled holes should cut down on the slag thrown when you try to make that first cut and his plasma cutter didn't throw very much slag when cutting through my 1/4" plate last night so cutting through that sheet metal should be cake for it.

 

And if Monte is right and the plasma won't work, well there are a bunch of grinders here and I think Konsta has a sawsall as well.

 

it certainly would go smoothly with so many nice tools

it will be a little while before i save up a bit more and get wheels and mount them,

unless konsta can mount and balance them lol, if i get my fenders done ahead of time, and we get the tub job done quickly i can wheel these suckers with you

 

I know somebody who has some older tools to mount them, but it's not all that fun to do it. haha There are several places around that can balance them after that. haha Hell maybe Brant can hook you up at the dealership.

I kind of doubt he can swing a free mount and balance on all 4 tires, but he might be able to swing a balance on the 4 if we get them mounted.

 

ah gotcha. well it doesent have to be free lol. if anyone can cut a good deal. how much does it usually cost?

could always mount them with the kerosene and fire trick, or whatever flammable liquid you use

 

dumbest idea ever... Would be epic in a sad way to see you burn your new 35's into molten rubber day 1...

If we can get them on the wheels, we can seat the beads with a ratchet strap and air compressor easy enough.

No thank you... I would have to be in a really bad position before I had to do that... and I carry a few ratchet straps in my toolbox and have a compressor under the hood.

Yea..still wont work. The door area is a tube kinda. Like 4 layers and other stupid shit. Pita. The plasma won't reach all of them.

Sawzall was most effective in combination with cutoff wheels.

Well on the spots the plasma can't get to use the saws all and grinder I guess.

i would love to find a matching one...but that will be a pain in the ass! ill probably just carry a 33 around with me for a spare for a little while
