I assume, someday will weigh them, but... 80# per tire (8 less than the boggers) rims are like #20, beadlocks with hardware is around 8#. So 108# ish? I am only guessing. I only know tire's for sure (at least the shipping label said 80.

Not as bad as I thought. Those boggers were ridiculously heavy haha

Did you use BB's to balance your boggers? We are going to pull them out of the 4runners because you can feel them going around in the tire especially at slow speeds. More annoying than an unbalanced tire on a rig that really doesnt get driven on the road.

The reason why we always wanted to build spring over trucks is because large tires mean you usually can't use the added uptravel. So the loss of ground clearance and chance of broken parts wasnt worth it. Sorry to jump in on this.

The BB's are olnly intended to be used to smooth out highway driving... They won't do crap at slow speeds. If you want them balanced for slow and high speeds, you have to get them balanced with actual weights on the rim. (Static balnceed)

I know, to wide, to tall... That's why I decided to get rid of them. I hope I am happy with these! They are way softer than the boggers, and are designed for rocks so I am sure I will be more than pleased!

No, not sure that I needed too. At that time I was never expecting to drive the truck more than 20 MPH...

After the recent trip to TN I realized that the real wheeling locations require you to drive more than 5 feet to wheel... So I made the decision to get balanced and straightened drive shafts (If they aren't straight they destroy pinion seals, and carrier bearings, and xfer case seals......

I also wanted tires balanced to help with the vibes over 45, if I ever make it to that speed.

And I agree with you on the leaf portion ;)

Hey man those arent the kind i told you to use! You want the premium match grade because they have no seam.

Also it looks like u used biodegradable ones too. I would pull those out bc once u get some moisture in your tires they will start to degrade and wont be round thus not balancing properly.

For those that dont know i have my 37's balanced with airsoft and have zero vibes at 70 mph.

I think the manufactures of the different balancing beads tell you how much to use depending on you tire size.... Did you just go off those recommendations, Eric?

Well today I spent over 12 hours working on the truck again.

I had wiring that looked like this and I being an electrician would not stand for it anymore...

I did some weight reduction that's for sure!!

Found out why my truck overheats

I needed to make a new crossmember for shocks and a crossbrace for my bed plywood. I had some rusty tube from the cage left over...

    All cleaned up...

    First notch ever made

I made 2 cross braces and will utilize one for shocks. Didn't get a pic of the other ones, tomorrow they will be installed.

It was time to replace my leaking pinion seal so I can finally say I rebuilt my entire front end...

    New one in...

Thanks! Love fresh paint :) Won't last long though haha.

The pinion seal was beat up due to me trying to get it out :p It was really grimy and I am not sure I really saw anything wrong with it honestly. Just like my inner axle seal I saw no evidence of damage, my guess was just normal wear and tear wore the seal down just enough to have oil seep through.

The axle was completely rebuilt when I first did the SAS. But after 2 years, over 30 wheeling trips, and many mud holes, I guess I expected it. Also the truck was built by a retard to begin with.

It was NwiTACO's idea. He chose orange originally and I stuck with it

What can I say... 14million wires I see everyday, gotta learn from it some time :D

I hope u counted the threads exposed on the pinion when u replaced the seal. Unless u have a solid spacer instead of the crush sleeve its very hard to ensure proper pinion bearing preload. The easiest way is to count exposed threads and match that when reinstalling the yoke.

All the guys on the forums said stick an impact on it and wait till the sun goes down or your compressor burns up.

Sun went down before compressor burnt up :D

That, and make a mark on the pinion nut and flange... Then go an extra 1/8th turn or so...

    Solid spacer ftw
