No, the 4-link bracket is from Ruffstuff, everything else I'm cutting with a portable bandsaw and angle grinder.

    But why stop there?

Decided to cut the whole damn thing out. It'll just make everything a lot easier. I'll be able to access the frame to properly weld the cage in, I'll make crossmembers that will double duty for mounting seats and the transmission/crawl box/tcase. That's the idea anyway. :anonymous:

Haha wasn't too bad til I got to work.

Cut most of the floor out

Still waiting on the same parts to get here. Ballistic forgot (I guess) about fixing my order so I called the other day after a few weeks of nothing.

Figured I'd kill time by shaving the 14B. I shaved about 2" off and added 2 layers of 1/4". Then added a crap load of flux core haha. Still working on it.

Most of my welding on this project has been mixed gas. The flux core works better with dirty surfaces and seems to have better penetration. Plus these welds are getting ground down/smoothed anyway.

    Oh and FU :D

In the back of my mind I've been a little concerned that LE might have a problem with my truck once it's back on the road. Saw this guy the other day and I felt a lot better haha

Hoping to get a shit ton accomplished today (if the parts aren't f*#$ed up again). I get the crawl box back, the 5th set of high steer arms, and the pitman arm and some other crap.

Gonna drink a shitload of caffeine and see where it gets me.:D

I showed my daughter a picture of what your truck looks like now and she asked, "why would he ever do that?"

I replied, "he's making it beefier."

She took a moment then asked, "Is he going to put it all back together?"

I paused and said, "we're all hoping so"

lol I can totally see her saying something that. :D

    But things are coming together!

Plan is to make a skid that the tranny/crawlbox/tcase hard mount to, and then mount it to the crossmember with a single bushing. (Same as what I used for the engine mounts.) I'll weld the crossmember to the frame, and have the floor/tranny hump removable so I can access it or completely remove it straight up and out.
