back under the knife

hydraulics and bags have been around for a pretty good while now. I went to a mini truck show in 03 and I know they have been around before that. I know they are not seen on a daily basis though.

hey thanks everybody. i am really proud to be building a tacoma that not only interest people that are into bodydropped trucks but also you guys that are not.
but i dont blame the ones that hate it and say "you just messed up a perfectly good truck". because more than half the minitrucks built are pieces of crap just waiting to fall apart. (that could also be due to the fact that the truck could have been-
A)- a ford
B)- a chevy
C)- a dodge
but sadly i have seen toyotas hacked to all hell and back and neglected)

i got my trans x-member tabs done and x-member done

 

starting to plate the 2x3 around the transition

 

got a little bit more of the plate work done, i wont be able to go work on it again until monday gotta go try and kill a deer this weekend

I always wondered - when a body is slammed to the ground, is the paint just continuously and completely jacked?

 

not really but i always repaint my trucks every couple of years anywys

 

got all the plate work done on the passenger side

 

was gonna swap to my new tranny and racing clutch today but didnt have the damn alignment toolgot the old tranny off though and finally found the tool at an o'reillys tonight so i will have all that on tomorrow

 

got my stage 2 cluch in

 

and my new trans

I wish the 2nd gen 6 speed was as solid as the 1st gen 5 speed is...

 

it looks like the driveway is curved, and your truck laid out hugs the curve of the driveway. Also that poor rocker, looks like its seen too many drops.

i recognize the 4runners in the background from CT, do you also have the single cab 2nd gen?

any who killer looking trucks! cant wait to see the finished project on this one. being able to take a truck down straight to the frame and build back up is amazing. one of these days, in the distant future i will achieve my dream of building a spark throwing, frame dragging bagged truck. until then i have to look at everyone else's

i can only afford one play thing for now, and it was about this time that i realized my hobbies and style of driving was not going to end well for my lowered 5 lug. so i sold it for a fo by fo
