Taco52's 01 Highschool Budget Build

So this is going to be a very in depth build thread of my truck. I haven't done much yet because I just got the truck but and I am on a tight budget. I will be using this to track all my progress of the truck to make sure I don't forget anything.
Got the truck on 12/31/11. Good way to start the new year. New year new truck.

As it Sits Now

Suspension-
Wheelers 5 pack
Wheelers AAL
Home made BPV relocation bracket
Wheelers Grease-able Main eye bolt
Rear Bilstein 5100's (Replaced with 5125's - 9/14)
Front Bilstein 5100's (replaced due to wear on schock-rod with new 5100's - 10/14)
Eibach Coils
New Top Plates - 10/14
New CV Axles and Boots 11-26-12 @ 170,000 miles
New CV Axle on passenger side - 9/14

Interior Mods-
JVC KD-R30 with selectable colors
Home made carpet rear floor mats
Maglite behind seat mod
Ultraguage
Sound Ordanance 8 inch powered sub

Exterior Mods-
De-badged
De-Flapped
15% Tint
5% Tint Visor 1.5 inches below legal line
Black toolbox

Wheels & Tires-
Steelies off craigslist
Goodyear Authorities 265-75-16

Armor
Trail Gear Low Pro Front Tube Bumper
Trail Gear Rear Bumper

Lighting
3 Hella 700ff's
LED dome light
LED Reverse lights
20 inch Totron LED Bar

Misc. Mods-
Superstart Battery
New Fan
New Radatior Shroud
Dash Sqeak Fix mod
Grey Wire Mod
Optronics Blinkers

First picture of the truck

1/7/12 -Then I took the bald tires off and put the old tires from my mom’s Duramax when we bought it and threw those on. Firestone TransForce AT 275/75/16-
Before:

After:

1/7/12 - While taking the picture (Above^^)of the truck with the new tires I decided that the mud flaps had to go. I may put the rear ones back on to preserve my paint and clear coat

The new Firestones looked a lot better than those old firestone Destinations drag slicks.

1/21/12- Then I did the grey wire mod. Love it already

1/28/12- Then I did the “Remove the topper” mod. Not really a fan unless I’m going camping.

Then I did the “Stop the dash from making noise” MOD

My Favorite Pic.

Took the taco out four wheeling and was suprised how well the taco performed. But then this happened.

No fan and fan shroud. almost no coolant. and dents in the hood.

But that didnt last long.

Replaced the battery with a hole in the side

Old battery:

New battery

Home made rear floor mats.

Installed Wheelers 5 pack

Eibachs and 5100's

Trail Gear Low Pro Bumper

Trail Gear Rear Bumper

New Tires

New Steelies

3 Hella's mounted up

__________________________________________________ __________
Future Mod List:
-Rear Diff Breather MOD
-Husky Floor Liners
-New windsheild
-Led Bar
-Repaint Bumpers

Yeah it looks a lot better without the shell. I find snow more fun to drive in compared to dry roads. Just more fun. The dash gets annoying quick but I got that fixed

Im thinking about throwing at least the rears on. I know i would be pissed if anybody infront of me was shooting rocks. So I might throw the rears back on. I havent decided yet but if i dont want them i could possibly ship them to you.

Works like a charm.. It is all quiet and isn't very noticeable. It just takes a piece of paper.
