Waiting on refinancing my mortgage, just in case there's any curve balls with closing costs. Once that's taken care of I'll start shopping around. Hopefully a week or two.

Supposed to be easier because it's FHA streamline, but I missed the first scheduled closing date since someone (coughmortgage brokercough) screwed up a number.

Going with 255 KM2's. Sent the tire group buy guy a PM for price. Ordered the axle relocation plate, should be here this week so I'll try to get that in and the pinch weld mod done this weekend. Gotta call around local and see what prices I can get.

Anyone have opinions on road hazard warranties being useful for offroad damage?

Yeah, that was sears though and their price is crazy for KM2's. Best price i've seen so far is discounttire but I don't have local. So I run the risk of being made to ship the blown tire back at my cost until they approve the warranty replacement. And if they don't approve, the shipping and cost of a new tire is on me.

    Awesome Build,

How's your BAMF rear skid holding up on the rocks? Have any pics?

Yeah, planning on getting the center lugs siped, gotta ask about that from the local places. I'm sure none of the online places do siping since they ship from warehouses.

Thanks. Haven't had a chance to play in the rocks yet since I got the rear skid. It will probably get some use in a couple weeks at Rausch so hopefully I'll have some pics then.

Remembered to take some pics today of the interior when there was still some light out.

    Here's my center dash.

    IMG_1958_54190df77818bfd414f9df56bca6f84cb5ab857e.jpg

Up top I have a ProClip iPhone mount. The mount has a dock connector built in which is wired via USB to my Pioneer head unit.

The head unit also has Bluetooth with a mic wired up to the top of the A pillar to add hands free calling.

The knob below the head unit is a volume control for the sub amp. Next to that is my crappy old garage door opener (planning to hard wire something to get rid of that when I get time). And the wire is an aux input for the stereo with a standard headphone jack.

Lastly my Uniden Pro 520XL CB which fits nicely where the ash tray used to be. Just remove the ash tray, cut out the back so the CB can slide through and push it in. It holds in there good without having to do anything else.

I have the USB cable wired through my glove box with a connector there. This allows me to plug in a USB thumb drive for when I don't want to use my phone.

    d9176a67_1fa55ed707d74d786084e3eef991e471e734e210.jpg

The amp for the sub is under the drivers seat. I slid a thin piece of wood under the carpet and screwed the amp to that through the carpet to keep it in place. The 10" sub is behind the drivers seat in a standard truck box.

    IMG_1959_812b0812aba5340c928e3b390168a4a02e619be6.jpg

Fits perfectly in the space between the seat when it's all the way back and the hump for the jumper seats.

I mounted a 3' Wilson Flex CB antenna in the driver's side hood channel. The mount is called a T100 hood channel mount I think. Works fine on the Tacoma with a few washers to adjust the angle.

I keep a pair of Rubbermaid action packers in the bed.

    IMG_1964_9f0db004117fb3970694b259fdd5dfe0d3517d73.jpg

One has mostly fluids - couple quarts of motor oil, quart of gear oil, ATF, gallon of premixed coolant, brake fluid, distilled water, etc.

    IMG_1962_8edea6af4772eff8687090b3402cd2d5adfb52b1.jpg

And the other is some of my recovery gear stuff - tree saver straps, chain, synthetic rope, regular rope, jack stands, etc.

    IMG_1963_9923f02aae43a99618f426d52b5a73733608b960.jpg

I just bungee them to the tie downs. Keeps them from sliding around and I can easily move them or take them out if I need to.
