This was my 99 Tacoma build but I decided to trade it for a 96 4runner TRD limited. So I was going to just continue on this build with the 4runner along with start a new build on T4R.org

    Here's the 4runner

What the tacoma looked liked before i traded it as of 11/23/12

Seeing that this is my old rig here are my comments:

Like the blacked out bumpers. less chrome is better.
Not a fan of the blacked out Toyota Emblem or the lights. Looks a little ghetto fab to me.
Lights don't look too bad up top of the Yakima bar.
You cleaned it up nicely...the last 3 years I used it, it was my landscaping truck so it got quite dirty.
One last comment, YOU WILL NOT pass inspection. From the lights, to the blacked out lenses, it won't pass. Troopers and other locals will pull you constantly. Plus, it's a safety issue IMHO. Blacked out tails are a no-no. Other than that she looks good. Take care of my baby.

everything painted and tinted i picked up and extra from the junk yard, except the rear and front bumper. tailights, front running lights, front grill peace and the emblem i have extra. :D:D cause i wasnt sure if i was going to like them.. and if they were leagal. my tail lights i made sure they were able to see very well before i drove it. im still not sure if i going to keep those. the lights on the roof i made so i can take them on and off very easy.

i had the corner light idea in mind but after seeing yours i was like yup im trying that.

for the tinting laws iv found that as long as the lights can be seen for up to 1000 feet they are leagal and that includes running not just brake light.. but also herd they can still pull you for the tinting.. thats just the way of fighting if you get a ticket. ill take my chances, but iv got spares in my toolbox so its all good

Hey bud, not hating. If that makes him happy then go for it! He asked my opinion. I gave it. No big deal. I'm just glad I sold it to someone that likes Toyota.

i didnt think you were hating. i know you love the truck and id like to know your opinion on things so you dont think im just trashing the truck.

oh and i dont just like Toyota i love it! we also have two 4runners, fj40, fj60, and a 2010 tacoma

and the thing my dad makes me do before a mod is trying to find the part at the junk yard so if i dont like it i can always change it back.

It's all good....I just want to warn you with the cops...I got pulled several times for stupid things....and I had Firefighter tags on! Even had a State Trooper pull me on 95N and actually got out a measuring tape to measure my height. This was on a Friday afternoon during rush hour.
