I will be out there tomorrow. Decided to stay back and get my tires mounted today. Cracks in the frame are now fixed. They were noticeably getting worse so my friend grooved out all the cracks, drilled a hole at the end of each one so they couldn't continue, and welded it all up. The plan is to doubler plate that entire cross member so it can not happen again.

Thanks man. Couldn't be happier with it. Cycles days of travel, can carry a ton of weight, and holds its arch really well. Honestly it confuses me why more people don't do it. Here are a couple rangers with it dialed. They use the same spring pack as a 1st gen.

The whoops in this one can be deceiving. They are very very big haha

Yeah wider axle necessary for 64. If you are not going to upgrade that I would just go with a regular f67 or h70 Deaver pack and buy the hangers, shackles and such from Total Chaos. Giant has some flaws with their 62 kit such as the shackles hit the frame at bump unless it is notched. Honestly though from the trucks I have been in you can't beat the handling of a 64 kit without links. Plus Tundra Axles go for only like $300 haha

Right on good luck. Whatever you decide to do make sure you have someone valve your shocks that knows what they are doing. The right shock tune will make any one of those leaf packs work as well as you want it to.

I was parked with my hood up next to a dark blue Dodge at the end of main pit checking my coolant level. U guys went by in a caravan of about 6 trucks with RJ at the front.

I got 2 questions for you

    1. Where'd you get that light box on your bedcage
    2. Is your buddy still doing fab work? I'm looking for someone to do my bedcage and your bedcage is pretty much exactly what I want since my truck is also my work truck

I bought the light box from a friend who picked it up at the of road swap meet. You can find them on race-dezert most of the time.

As for my buddy doing fab work he is pretty busy with work and all the people that are on the "waiting list" already haha. But really you can have almost any shop build a very similar bed cage as long as you get a wider axle to mount your shocks outboard.
