How's the drone from your muffler with the turn down pipe?

And just curious, does it blow sand like crazy when you're out on the dunes?

The ANNOYING kind of bassy/buzzy drone is non-existent. I'm convinced the Thorley headers did the trick and made the sound deep and more importantly throaty.

It has a unique drone at fwy speed but definitely not close to ear splitting. It passed the girlfriend test lol.

And anything loose sitting under the truck will definitely get blown out by the turn down hahaha. Freaked out some old people next to me parked at a bike dirt trail entrance last weekend. :D

Haha awesome! I just picked up a 14" MF and will be swapping it with my FM 40 and I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with a turn down tip before the axle like yours.

I liked the sound of the 40 and all but decided on going with the more straight through in the MF. Idk what the actual difference on mpg's is between the two, but chambers vs. straight through it just seems more practical.

Wise choice on the Magnaflow. It'll be the last muffler you'll ever have to buy. The flowmasters don't last nearly as long being aluminized. You're gonna love it as a turn down. Make sure your muffler guy creates hangers that cradle your turn down instead of just welding it to the sides of the turn down portion.

Yea I hope this is the last one I buy. And as for the hangers for the turn down, I'm guessing that prevents it from rattling or shaking? :notsure:

You're in Hawaii right? I've got family and close friends littered all over Oahu lol its my second home. North Shore(Waialua), Waipahu, Mililani etc.

You should just run an o2 resistor and go catless....that'll make that Magnaflow turndown roar. :D Just safety check and no smog right?? Do eeet, braaaaapppp! ;)

My Tacoma was originally from Hawaii haha, I'm the 2nd California owner--it still had the safety sticker on the rear bumper when I bought it. Maybe you recognize the famous Hawaii red dirt stain on the frame in my muffler pics lol.

    SHOOTS!

Switched up the wheels today...got rid of the Methods and went with some 15x8 Mickey Thompson Classic Locks w/black faux lock rings wrapped in 31x11.50 R15 BFG AT TA/KO's. I've always loved the look of the Classic Locks and definitely LOVE the smaller premium for replacing 15" tires as opposed to the older 16" setup!

Crappy pics, dirty truck lol sorry!

Bronze colored-ish lol. Perfect color match for my Icon suspension in the front too.

It's Method time for you whenever you're ready Chris! ;)

    Thanks Matt!

BS is 3.3125 on these.... basically the only 15x8 w/6x5.5 bolt pattern they make in the Classic Locks.

Little more poke than the old 16" Methods, they sit a little wider than my Bushwackers now.
