It also depends on the type of snow. Northeast/ northwest heavy wet snow with ice underneath, packed snow, ice, mt's will be terrible. Light fluffy snow they will be fine

Received my 4.5 glassworks fenders today. Paid the extra money to have them painted black. Pretty disappointed on the way they came out. Half of it came out gloss the other half is flat.

Any advice on sanding and painting them myself.

Wow^^ I'd be right pissed off at them. And asking for money back.

There's probably no way you could wet sand those either I'm guessing....

If I were you Paul I'd be asking for a FULL refund on the cost to have them painted, then just hit up a body shop. Up here in Canada you can have 2 front fenders like that painted for $100 a side. Just sand and clean before you drop them off.

Good luck man! Truck looks shhhhexxxyyy

That sucks, definitely get a refund. Easier to have a shop do it. sanding, priming, sanding, painting, clear coating..... sucks!

I'm usually laid back out this kind of stuff and I'd be asking for a refund on the paint costs.

You should at least get what you paid for or a refund to cover the cost of getting it done right.

I spoke to tim and GW and asked for a refund on the paint job.

Ron, let me know where and how much. When I get back from my wheeling trip this weekend I may fit them on and trim some of it for the 35s. Also thinking about cutting them up for a custom snorkel. I would do all that before I got them painted.

Sucks about the paint Paul. If you can get a refund on the paint, you'll be good. Probably not a bad thing that the paint sucks since you'll probably need to do a little trimming/sanding to get them all fitted right. That would suck to mess up really good paint but you won't need to worry about that now.

If you decided to paint them yourself, it's really not too hard. I had some color matched paint mixed up in rattle cans and it was a really good match. The clearcoat I used wasn't great, but I have some new clear that I'll be spraying on them soon. Cost me about $60 in materials to spray them myself. Of course a real "pro" job will be best. Whatever GW did was NOT a pro job.

Jojo needs to post that picture of the crazy cv!

Before anyone gets any ideas no cv axles were busted. Pushed the truck pretty hard this weekend. Followed andy's horunner almost everywhere! Took 99% of all the hard lines and didn't break shit.

Not that that's never going to happen. Just pick the right lines and don't drive like an asshat.
