Holy smokes dude!!! That's crazy. Our trip was pretty tame, hit it when it was bone dry, basically no mud whatsoever. We started late in the morning and made it to Lodestone by around 8pm. We were kind of on a tight schedule and didn't get to enjoy the trail quite as much as I would have liked, plus there was major forest fire smog to boot. Overall though it was a good time, glad we didn't run into any of the same problems you did.

Swap wasn't super hard, I would suggest having a decent mechanical foundation before jumping in, as well you'll have to do some cutting, grinding and welding. I was lucky to have my father in law help who has literally a lifetime of mechanical know-how and experience under his belt, he cut the motor mounts out for me and got them welded back in basically to stock spec. I had basically every tool under the sun available to me so it made things a lot smoother. There's a lot of infrastructure you'll need to complete an undertaking like this, if you have all that then I say go for it, the upgrade is significant.

Hey dude, truck is looking better and better these days!

Sorry about not getting back to you about the canopy... been a while since ive been on here. I guess the less time i spend on here the better it is on the wallet. I bought my canopy off of Ben (m3bassman) couple years ago. Apparently its a rare one. Keep checking kijiji and craigs! Might get lucky

5.29's, tune, 34's, ARE Shell, Smittybilt hardshell RTT,
FINALLY someone who knows the struggle of the 3RZ/3.58 combo. It's bad with 31x10.50's; I can't imagine how bad it was with 33's. I'm looking to regear soon, and I've settled on 4.56's like you did. Would you recommend that ratio to somebody in the same position?

Ya man, definitely the way to go for 33's and a 3rz. 488's will way to low gearing.
