I remember when I ordered mine I ordered the bulbs that would fit 98-00. Had to cancel that order immediately haha

Yeeeeeah.... I'm gonna have to check what bulbs my reverse lights are as soon as I wake up & order a pair of these.
This is exactly what I want without having to go through the PITA process of hooking up reverse auxiliary lights

Exactly why I did this! I wanted to wait until I got a rear off road bumper before I installed auxillary reverse lights.

So on that link is there a difference between the 98-00 and the 01-04 bulbs? I just see one option to buy the light. I'm pretty sure I have just 1 connection point at the base of the bulb... 1156 bulb if that helps

No, the link is just for the 1156 bulbs. I can't remember what connection type the 98-00 and 01-04 are. I just know they are different. If your bulb type is 1156, then those will work for you.

Haha you won't regret it! BTW, got my windows tinted :D

He managed to match them up perfectly on the outside and used 15%.

Now I'm about to go black out the radiator, plastidip my emblems, and paint the trim on my corner lights.

Definitely worth every penny in my opinion!

Yeah, I really want to take pics and post them now... Haha But I figured it would be better for me to just wait until I finish everything I plan to do and then post a bunch of pics. Right? :D

Installed my grill with the new mesh from Homertaco, got the windows tinted to match the factory tint, painted the trim on the corner lights, and plastidipped the Tacoma emblems on the doors.

Aww yeah! Looks good! The guy you took it to matched the front with the rear windows nicely.

but umm... what's up with the SR5 badge not getting blacked out? Wanted to make it pop or somethin'

Yeah, it matched great on the outside. The fronts are darker from the inside though, but I don't care haha stays much cooler inside as well :D

The plastidip doesn't stay on the SR5 badges as well because they don't have a sharp cutoff like the Tacoma emblems. So it just peeled right off. So I think I'm going to remove all of the emblems except the ones on the doors. None of the emblems on the tailgate are plastidipped either.

They have to be darker on the inside if you want to counteract the windshield light when you're looking at your truck from the outside..

You're on the right track!! De-Badge the SR5/tailgate, it looks SO much better! I blacked out my "Tacoma" badge on the tailgate and took the rest off, within a week I just de-badged the whole thing. My only regret? That I didn't do it sooner

Haha you're probably right. I'll take off all of those badges Saturday, then decide to remove them all.

Debadgeification mod was one of my favorites! Wasn't too much fun, but I love how it turned out overall.

Those little spongy Sr5 letters are a bitch to remove btw
