    no...no..no..

The toytec coilovers are non-rebuildable and just become $800 paper weights when they wear out.

Get a rebuild-able coilover like sway away, Icon, fox, king...etc...

Sway away's 2.0 coilovers are actually cheaper than the toytec coilovers IIRC...

Well, it is an off road suspension package, it will definitely ride stiff, especially if you get the heavy coils (which I did, because I plan on adding a winch eventually)... What do you mean by rode terrible? It's not gonna be the best ride getting groceries. My suspension was shot and I had to replace everything. I actually benefit from it in town because our paved roads are horrible here and some areas compare to light off road lol. Best decision I ever made.

They are maintenance free and should last you a hell of a long time if you don't abuse them. They will probably outlast my truck. IMO, you get what you pay for.

Yeah, maintenance free till they wear out, like they eventually will.

Shock absorbers wear out...like I said. And the toytec coilovers are non-rebuildable...you do get what you pay for...and for about the same price you can get a rebuildable coilover that will last, in theory, forever. Because they can be rebuilt over and over again.

Acutally for the $750 that the toytec coilovers are, you are getting ripped off. They are just a bilstein shock machined with threads on it so you can adjust the coils, and a upper bucket to bolt up to the truck. And it has the cheap ass rubber bushings in it.

I paid $770 for my Sway away 2.0 racerunners. Its a full feature coil over. Rebuildable, rechargable, heim joints and misalignment spacers instead of the cheap rubber bushings, all machined billet anodized aluminum, 650lb eibach coils....

Not everyone is mechanically competent or has the tools/time for rebuilding their own shocks when they wear. Everyone has their own needs. To each their own.

There are several retailers and shops, including the companies that sell the coil overs that will rebuild them.

Its not about "to each their own" its helping people buy parts that are worth it for the money, and not substandard when it comes to quality and performance.

Would you buy a truck that had a non-rebuildable motor that was the same price of a truck that had a rebuildable motor?

That's what I did. And he actually ended up ordering it. Many guys here get that lift. It is a great lift. There's nothing wrong with it. I don't think it is substandard when it comes to quality or performance. If I was gonna suggest a substandard lift, I would have told him to go with blocks and a body lift and brace yourself for a substandard ride with more headaches in the future.
