 I know you have the AAL, does it go between 2-3 or 3-4?

On my last trip out, I stuffed my rear tire and did some slight damage to my fender flare. Ain't nobody got time for dat..!

    Yeah it's bluetoof

I hear some stories about Dakar packs with the AAL being squeaky. I'll have to do some reading. I got a few C clamps we can use when we pull these packs apart...

Oh yeah. I wouldn't rip them apart just to grease them. F that noise. Lol. So yours are squeaky?

My Dakars are squeaky too. I've had them since Feb this year. I'm also looking at the D6XL AAL, so I'm curious to see how that goes. Same issue with some rubbing on the flares with a full load. How do you know if you need an axle relocation plates?

100% agree with the single din vs double din. I use that extra space for wallet/phone every time.

Great looking rig Woody! love it! I'm hoping to join you in the elite "DC Club" with Ponethousand, Box Rocket, and GreenChile.

Thanks for the compliment, although I have a long way to go to follow those guys!

For the most part, my Dakars are quiet. But they do squeak. As far as the relo plates, I can see my tire isn't centered in the wheel well. Reading through BR's build, he centered his wheel in the well. IIRC, he then went to Moab with no issues.

I've been all over Craigslist this morning looking for a good head unit... The more I think about it, the more I want a single din

Thanks for the compliment Woody. and u should have seen after i put them shackles on. it raised the back up nicely. when i was putting them on i went and put it in the middle hole on the shackles that go bolted to the frame of the truck an then bolted the spring on. it lifted it up though so now when i am pulling my utility trailer i want have a bro lean anymore.

Hey w00dy I just read through your build aaaaaand I gotta say you convinced me on the 7069s. I have a few questions if you don't mind? Let me know and I'll post em (just one about your gearing/power difference, one about the rims & one about the tires).

So I get it that you didn't re-gear, however since a lot of time has passed with this set up, did you eventually notice a difference in the power?

#1 sweet looking set up, and #2 do you have any regrets at all going with the 33s? I know you were rubbing a little on the pinch weld, but did you get any rub on the frame or upper control arms?

Also, if I were to get the Pro Comps 7069s, would this set up work:
    Pro Comp 7069s
    16x8
    4" or 3.75" backspacing-this one may help if I decide on 33s
Offset - 19mm -----> from my understanding this needs to be as close to stock as possible for best steering and 4Wheelers told me I need that size

So what do ya think? Haha

I have noticed a little loss in the take off department but not so much that I regret 33"s. I don't have any plans in the near future to regrear. I'm content with how it feels both on and off road as of now.

Rubbing issues I have still is the pinch weld at full stuff and some rear front running that the relo plates should take care of. Other than that, I don't rub frame or on coils or uca's.

I am actually happy I listened to my tire guy. I wasn't sure of the 285's at first be he talked me into them. I had my mind set on 255's but I'm glad I went 285's.

Do they make the 7069 in 3.75bs?

My favorite fishing/crabbing spot finally opened back up since it was destroyed after Hurricane Sandy last October. So I took a few pictures.
