Thanks! Which night was it? I was probably down the way with everyone else at Johns motor home or out for dinner with Brian and his GF.

Yeah I wasn't sure if you saw me or not or that you'd recognize the Cruiser. I was in the Cruiser with my trailer.

Did you install these in the truck already? if so was it a considerably better ride then 5100's? About to pull the trigger on some 5100's but still considering a coil-over set up.

The difference is night and day. I'd save your money and go for a well built coilover. Don't bother with the toytec junk. Or all pro. Something like King, Camburg, Fox, Icon...

2.5" of course. 650lb springs if your running a tube bumper with winch and synthetic line. 700lb springs for plate bumper and winch with steel cable.

How easy was it to bob your bed? I was going to do mine but with glassworks bedsides. Wanted the wider coverage but shorter bed also for departure clearance. My build is more of a dd/multi terrain. I'm eventually going to tub my fenderwell too like you. Love your truck with the 35's.

It's definitely easier to bob the bed than to tub the firewall. The firewall is a nightmare....

It took me about 8hrs to actually cut (including frame), fit, and re weld the box. I boxed in my frame at the shackles so that took some time as well. Then about another 2-3hrs for body work and the vinyl.

Bobbing the box....fun and easy. Tubbing for 35's....nasty and stressful

Don't see it being too hard. Especially since you posted all about it in your build

I'm considering following your rout with the bilsteins until I can afford LT. Did you regear? I'm putting a turbo in too so I will have good power. Anything else of note? And what would you recommend if you could do it over? Thanks man.......

I don't have Bilstiens anymore...and no I didn't re gear. There's no need to with the auto and 35's.

I have a manual. Would you say to regear that? And to 5.29? I really don't want to if it's not necessary. Yeah, I saw you rebuilt those other coilovers too.....

Yea you'd have to re gear for manual. I'd do 5.29's for sure

Haven't updated this thread in a long time come to think of it...holy!

I've recently put the Tundra 231mm BBK on. Large rotors and pads. I can do 60mph and lock everything up on the highway. I used ceramic pads, so their pretty touchy when they get "warm".

Also took the add a leaf out of the rear. The truck is now back to a stock Tacoma ride height

Oh and switched out my crunched and dented Flowmaster Super 44 for "The Original" Flowmaster 40. There are 2 versions of the 40. I was lucky enough to be able to find the old version that only has 1 chamber in it. The truck sounds hella good now. Used a mandrel bent tube for the downturn

Stock springs on 35". Wondering if I can just do the bilsteins then and no aal? Would save a few bucks. I have the trd package, not sure but I think the rear springs may be a little higher. And my wheels are negative offset, they stick out wider. But I am putting on fiberglass fenders front and rear. Going to follow suit with the 1.25" wheel spacers. I'm sure the huge fiberglass I am getting will cover it. Opinions?
