So which truck seems faster? The old one with the heavy ass Grabbers or the new 4 banger truck?

sub'd. I'm not sure what's going to be more entertaining the build or watching you try and keep this a conservative build :D. Glad you're back in a tacoma.

I still take the 3.4 with extra weight over 4 banger if ur going off speed. Not knocking 4bangs strong lil motors fo sho!

I've had a 96 2.7 liter, and now have an 03 with a 3.4 liter. The 3.4's are definitely better if you want a good dd/trail rig.

while the 4 banger is a torchy little motor, the 3.4 even with the grabbers still has the upper hand... although i do have gnar ass axle wrap with this truck... need new leafs and i'm gonna do a trac bar for shits and gigs

    lol... thanks!

from what i've read online the 2.7 may even be a bit more hassle free than the 3.4... we'll see. at the end of the day at least it's a yota!

What did you use to paint the bumpers, and how much tint did you put on the windows? Also, what did you do to your corner lights?

painting the bumpers i sanded off the chrome and just used rattle cans and clear coat.

the front windows have 30% tint and everything else is 5%.

corner lights came with them new headlights

Excited to see this so called DD :D . This is how all builds start out.. modding trucks is too addicting.

Edit: When I got my truck, I was like yeah im gonna keep this as my DD, makes sense to save on gas. blah blah blah screw that. here I am $4000 into the truck with a lifted somewhat armored beast that im looking to LT in the future. :)
