Brandan's 1996 Taco Build

I've been a long time lurker and a short time member and finally decided i should post my build up.

How it sits currently.

Vehicle
1996 Toyota Tacoma Xtra Cab DLX
3.4L V6
4x4 w/ 5 Speed Manual

Performance
K&N CAI
Magnaflow 14" Muffler Dumped Before Axle

Front Suspension
Donahoe (Icon) Stock Length Coilovers

Rear Suspension
All-Pro 3" Standard Leaf Springs
10" Fox 2.0 Shocks w/ resi
Trail Gear Spring and Shackle Hangers
Trail Gear 5.5 Greaseable Shackles

Wheels & Tires
15x8 Tuff T03 Flat Black 3.5" backspace
33x12.5R15 BFGoodrich KM2

Armor
Custom Plate Bumper
Trail Gear 3/8ths Transfer Case Skid
Ballistic Fab Frame Box Plates

Recovery
Warn M8000 w/ Solenoid In Engine Bay

Stereo
Pioneer Head-unit
4 Kicker 6.5 inch speakers
2 Kicker CVR 8" subs in tool cubbies
Dynamatted and Rammatted interior
JL Audio 1000W Monoblock Amp
JL Audio 360W 4 Channel Amp

Interior
Custom Map Light Intall
LED Interior lights
Clutch Pedal Spring Mod

Exterior
Plasti-Dipped Badges
Removed Fender Flares
Removed Pin Stripes
Hella 700FF 55W HID
From Day 1 with nothing but new shoes

Had to take it off road somewhere for the first time

Got rear-ended at a stop light a few months after getting her

Decided to use that insurance money to start some mods

Also pulled off my bumper to start building my own

Started doing other small mods to keep myself busy

I realized how weak my stock suspension was and ordered my leaf springs in a group buy

Tried to do some custom plasti dip stripes

got my front coilovers from supraT(tony) and sent them in for a rebuild

Loved the ride they gave me but was getting tired of the bro-lean and didn't want to tackle the job of removing my spring and shackle hangers (if you have a 95-97 youll know what im talking about). Decided to let a local shop take care of it but now i regret it since they didn't set my shackle angle correctly.

I was starting to get tired of the crappy speakers and wanted a little more low end on the audio spectrum. Dynamatted and Rammatted my entire interior besides the roof and sealed up my rear tool cubbies to put my subs back there.

I wanted a little more light so i got this maplight from a junkyard and did a little custom installation.

And I finally finished up my bumper and wired my winch up.

Had a blowout and finally made the move to some 33inch KM2s

And thats where im at now

Truck looks great

Interested in making another bumper? I've got a clean rear bumper I could do cash+trade.

I got them off eBay, the company that makes them is actually called status wheels and they are based out of Florida. Gotta be careful with some of the eBay sellers though.

Awesome, that looks really good.

EDIT: I looked on rockauto and could only find chrome or black for the 4wd grill. Is yours black? I looks gray to me. (which is what I want)

Its the black option. I was anticipating a flat black one but it's just a grayish color. It's the same color that is on the base models. I'm actually happier with this color.

I also got the corner lights since mine were filled with water and it looks a lot better with the whole front end matching
