^Thanks guys! I'm going to try doing the chrome bezel on my front grill and headlights next. I think it will look pretty good with all the chrome gone andthe front matching the sides!

 

Washed the truck today. The plastidip was scrubbed and stayed put!

 

The dip looks great, and the truck is so shiny! I can't wait until I find a new body for mine. One day, I will have an interior that stays dry when it rains.

 

^Wow, that's hard core! Are you getting leaks through the body itself, or through gaps/ old seals?

 

The doors and window frames are bent up and don't seal right. The truck was rolled a couple times in the past.

 

LoL, rolled a couple of times. That just shows how much more hard core your rig is than mine.

 

I'm just not afraid to beat the hell out of it because it's already bent up lol.

Once I replace the cab, it will be time to calm down a little.

 

Dipped the front grill and headlight surrounds to match the side badges and door handles. The only chrome left on the truck is the rear bumper now.

These pictures make it look a little brighter than it actually is, due to the direct sun

I went up Red Cone with Rocky Mountain 4x4 today. Great run, but I didn't get any pics of the obstacles. Here are the pics I did get:

 

I forgot to mention... I got to try out my rear diff breather mod!

 

Pretty awesome man! Wish I had places like that to wheel around here.

(I want to travel to your neck of the woods some time too. I'm still scared of mud...)

 

That would be one hell of a road trip. I definitely plan to make a cross country trip sometime in the next year or so. There are a couple guys over here who want to do it.

 

Let me know if you do! I can plan run(s) anywhere you want to go with Rocky Mountain 4x4, if you want to.

My wife really wants to visit the south east and I'm trying to talk her into going in my truck. If we do, maybe you can show us around some trails out there.

 

Sounds like a plan! Would be pretty awesome to make a round trip, hitting up different off-road areas around the country.

 

Ya it would..hella expensive then I want a year off at least..leave in August or so so you get summer weather twice.

 

This is starting to sound like a conversation you'd hear on ExpeditionPortal! I'm thinking, if I can get 2 weeks off or so, next year might be the right time. ...maybe during the winter?

I definitely would not do a road trip durring the winter. I lived up north for about a month, although snow wheeling would be awesome, I absolutely hate freezing my ass off lol.

I do think a couple weeks would work. That would basically be a week of traveling, and a week for wheeling. I'm not going to commit to anything though. This may just work.
