So, since I don't get to try out a flexy new suspension on my truck... Wifey an I decided to go for a walk up the canyon by our house. We ended up running into a herd of Rocky Mountain Sheep. Cool!

So, I talked with Alcan today. They should start building the springs today and ship them within the next 2 days. I'm hoping to install them on Friday.

Oh, also I'm looking for ideas for Christmas ideas for Wifey! So far, I thought of yellow lens covers for my off road lights and a factor 55 winch thimble. Does anyone have any suggestions? Maybe LED spotlights? What are some parts that you guys like that cost less than $500?

Great suggestions! I can't believe I didn't think of a rear diff skid... all I do is worry about that thing when I wheel. Also, SeattleCoug, do you know the difference between the standard and more expensive Prolink? My Christmas list is updated, but keep the suggestions coming! (if anyone has more)

Dude! I just realized that you can get amber covers for those rigid D2s... Since my Vision X offroad lights are Low/Hi beam, I can wire them into the Hi Beam wires on my harness. Then, I can get the amber covers for winter use. Awesome idea!

I...LOVE...my rear diff skid. Seriously. Bashing rocks with it is awesome. No worries about anything with that thing.

^Haha that skid would probably prevent me from getting ulcers!

Hey, both of you guys are up on lights... What do you think about the Rigid D2s versus the Vision X Light Cannon?

Every time I mention getting one of those diff skids, most of the guys I wheel with say it's not worth it for the loss of ground clearance. And that the diffs are tough enough.

I don't understand their logic considering the have full skids and front and rear off road bumpers? Haha

You do loose some clearance. But I don't have to worry about it anymore. The rear of the diff is not strong and that is the real area you have to watch. The bottom is stout though.

But I practically cracked rocks in half with mine. It's awesome not having to worry about it.
