Any plans to gusset that upper shock mount? Also you may want to throw another member between the bumper and frame right behind the rear wheel to keep it from bending in.

    Looks good otherwise.

Okay so i used to have a 2001 ford explorer put subs in it and had airbag lift in the back but nothing major, sold it soon enough and went for a Tacoma.

I ended up test driving several going back and forth between wanting a 4x4 and a prerunner, sadly most of the ones that i found that i was about to spring on and buy i checked the frame only to find metal falling off by the handfulls. i love the idea of a long travel tacoma but thats in the far future, also i like the idea of a lifted 4x4 but i figured with the areas i'm going to go offroading i might as well get the prerunner, keep it lighter for the better mpg's and eventually either do long tavel or SAS.

so then one day i checked craigslist and found a tacoma and i couldnt believe my eyes
it had every option i wanted(except the towing package) but other than that everything,
it was the 2002 v6 trd sr5 prerunner, so i called up my friend and we both went to test drive it, we both looked it over and couldnt find anything wrong with it other than the latch on the center console being broken. so I was really excited, and wanted my dad to come with me to also look it over seeing as hes like a pro when it comes to anything mechanical because he has been building cars since he was my age, then about a week later he finally said ok ill go look at it, we ended up telling the dealer that we would take it, and then once we got the loan we went and picked it up, i was really excited seeing as im only 17 i had purchased my 3rd car, and i know what your probably thinking oh ya a 17 year old is buying all of these cars but i purchased my explorer from an auction, got my 240sx (rps13) from a guy in my neighborhood and got all for relativley cheap, believe it or not landscaping pays amazingly well.

so after about a month of driving it I decided that i planned on keeping it for a long time because i pretty much instantly fell in love with it, i went and got a spray in bed liner from my local linex, very pleased with the work they did,

then later that week my dad and i put my camper shell back on with weather stripping so it wouldnt leak, and i also debadged it

later on down the line about 2 or 3 months later i was dying to do something to it to make it more unique, different than the average tacoma you see every day, so i bought the height adjustable billstien 5100 and 5125 for it, also bought a flowmaster super 44. the next weekend my dad and i went to work,he started to hack and weld up the muffler and pipe and made a really professional looking install, and i took my bumper off and painted it matte black, and later that week installed my shocks.

then at the end of that month i went to the auction near where i live ang got 2 brand new never been driven on wrangler mt's for 160 for the pair soi put those on the back of my truck.

by then it had started to get warm and with my landscaping business i needed the bed to be open for equipment so i took the camper shell off and posted it on craigslist and withing a couple of days had a really interested buyer, he came and we put it on his truck and he paid me no problems.

my other friend who is a member bought my subs that i had in my explorer just a couple days later so with 600 bucks in hand decided that it was time for more mods.

    so i ordered
    the ome 882 coils
    dakar leaf packs
    leveling coil spacer
    and new bushings

while those were on their way from across the country i decided to paint my wheels and see if i couldnt get a cb radio

im a member of a yahoo group called freecycle and i posted a want for a cb radio and antenna, withing a couple of days someone had one they didnt want and it was brand new in the box so that was cool

i had seen someone else paint them the anthracite color and loved it so i kinda copied them and then i painted my front emblem red and the toyota emblems on the wheels red also, they look amazing if i do say so myself

now that i have a three day weekend i hope that i will be able to get these new coils and leaf packs on

these pictures are probably all out of order, haha hope youll be able able to figure out where mypictures are supposed to go within the text. and im sure im forgetting something but ill update this as i do stuff or remember stuff that i do. if any of this doesnt make any sence feel free to ask questions

    Not too long ago
Been ordering parts to finally get cruise control

And have been searching for a wrecked tacoma with manual hubs and jshifter to convert my truck to be 4wd , i know everyone is gonna say just sell it and buy a 4wd...thanks for your input but save it. Ive decided thats what im going to do, im in no rush to get the parts so ill just wait for them. If anyone is going SAS and has parts or anything like that please let me know whatcha got
