And keep in mind my shell weighs around 200 pounds so that is pushing my springs down without anything else in the bed. Last weekend I had a decent load in for camping and it really only sagged like an inch tops. I was impressed.

Hey while I'm on here and have some activity here, does anybody know if 285/75/16s would fit OK on stock wheels with my 883s? I'm prepared to do a little trimming and hammering but nothing major. I'm still trying to decide between 33s or my current 265/75 size.

Interesting. I'm thinking 33s cuz I can't get duratracs I'm a 32" with 15" wheel. I don't even need new tires as mine have over 50% tread left, so I don't really see the point of buying tires at all. But if I do, I'd rather step up a size. That's all.

And yeah I have 265/75s. I just think it'd be nice to fill the wheel wells a little more. But a front bumper would accomplish that eventually lol. And a RTT is in my future as well. Sooner than I expected I think, hopefully next summer.

Yeah, oh well. My current tires did OK this past winter, but they were definitely nothing special in the snow when I did some wheeling. And seeing as how 60% of my driving is on snow I figure I better get a tire that does great in snow as well as other terrain.

20% tint on all windows, Deckplate mod, satoshi-ish grille, blacked out and/or body matched emblems, rattle canned rims, red l.e.d. interior lights, bilstein 5100's and OME 881 coils , deaver 8 leaf pack, 1.5" lift shackle, alpine sound system, 55w HID lightforce 140 and 170 fogs
With 285s you may or may not rub the uca. It'll be close I think

Tires for 15s are cheaper than 16s. :notsure: that's why i stuck with 15s

Yeah that's pretty much why I would switch. Plus I like more sidewall than wheel. And I think a 32x11.5x15 would give a bit less of a power loss than going up to a 285/75. Maybe there's no truth to that but that's what I feel.

Right. Are there more benefits to the 15s? More sidewall? Buying new 15s and tires would be about the same as just new tires for 16s I'd bet.

    Edit: nvm. Answered my question.

I hate the stock wheels. And they are so pitted and banged up it's a joke. I'd rather buy new ones than do all the work to paint them and be unhappy after a while.

So which options are you deciding on? 285s and keep the rims and 32x11.5 with 15s? considered 33x10.5?

I've considered 33x10.5 but the only tires I see that spike my interest are KM2s or BFG ATs. And I don't want KM2s to use year-round, and I'm just not a big fan of how the ATs look. At this point I'm leaning towards keeping my current 16s and going with either 285s or 265/75 in a duratrac. And then later buy new wheels. I'm just worried I would rub too much with the stock backspacing.

Do you have 32x11.5 or are you a tall/skinny tire? I'm curious if the 11.5 would fit without hitting the uca

Between those two I'd go 265/75. The duratracs looks aggressive enough that they'd still fill the whelk wells nicely

 you'll be happy with the 265/75 duratrac. Or maybe a tall/skinny tire? Like a 255/85?

Gahhhh so many tire choices haha
