I'm glad I did too! No you were good, I woulda been pissed if I went with "Cool White" and bought the ricer LEDs.

Try it out! I just did 1 coat of the tint in a rattle can (Rustoleum I think?) but made sure to get a nice even light coat. My big concern was not making it too dark, I still wanted other drivers to see my brake lights during the day. After I did that, I let em dry for a good long while and then hit em with 2 good clear coats.

My 3rd brake light turned out way better, I tried this guys way of tinting by sanding the lens first (I think it helps). Check it out HERE

Truck looks amazingly BAD ASS Mark. I like the recent mods u done putting the LED's on the truck and the canopy. Did u do the inside too with LEDs or the tag lights? I been wanting to do this to the truck. I ordered me some retros through the GB on here and they got here today. Gonna install either tmrw or fri. That black on black looks u got gonna is awesome. If u were only closer i could see ur truck in person but NC is a long ways from Washington imo anyways. Hahaha!!!

Thanks man! Inside, the truck? Or inside the canopy?
Ah I've seen a few posts of people installing the retros lately, looks like a headache wiring up  Hell yeah I'd definitely be down to meet up if you lived in WA, or I in NC buuuuuut that's probably never gonna happen :rain:

I have LEDs in my rearview mirror maplights & dome light. I was just thinking about looking at my dome lights in the canopy & seeing if I can throw some LEDs in em...

The dome light doesn't take anything, just order one! It's like $5 and it's night & day difference!!

Okay, so you have like 3 builds, link me to the one you're mostly on hah

The dome light in my shell is probably the favorite mod I've done haha. Had a leftover LED one from a boat project I never got to.

It's especially nice if you go camping/hunting and sleep in the back of your truck & need quick light when crawling into bed or in the middle of the night/early morning

I think it was from Evergreen RV Supply on 166th & Aurora-- log cabin building. Err maybe that's where I got my 3rd brake light for the canopy.... I'll ask my Dad tomorrow morning, he's the one that got them for me.

    Mod money!

It'll either go towards a set of duratracs or a plane ticket down south. Or save it so I can buy a house this spring...kind of putting a damper on my mods lol...

Oh psh, c'mon.. what's more important, mods on your Tacoma or a future home? :p

Duratracs are sweet & I heard they really kick ass in the snow.. something you'd probably appreciate

Yep that's why I'm eyeballing them. I don't need new tires as my current ones still have over 50% tread left and are actually very good ATs. But I figure I can sell them and a set of brand new studded tires to offset the cost of the duratracs.

That's what I did with my 31x10.50x15 BFG All-Terrains-- they still had 6-7/32 of tread left.
    Just doooooo it
