And will this lift require a diff drop to not blow through cvs every week? Seen many guys do that too. How hard will that be?

Hmm okay well I measured from the bottom of my door to the ground & then did the same on my Dad's stock Tacoma (same height before I lifted it), truth be told, 4". Then again my tires helped a little with that..

Not required. Extremely easy to install though

And if I do bumpers it will be a TG low profile front and a custom rear like box rocket has( I'm not trying to steal your idea, but I'll probably use a bunch of your concepts unless you could make me one:D)

I have looked at them but my four wheel drive club is through our college and because of this, we get good discounts at 4wheelparts.com so that's where I've been looking. I've somewhat been doing my research and trying to look at all angles but I'm an inexperienced kid so that's why I reach out to you guys in the TW community. I've also been talking to a guy in my club who has a fj40 who has the ome kit and he said he likes how they ride so I've been pretty set on them but I'm open to your opinions

And I'm trying not to seem like the ignorant teenage kid who thinks he knows everything cause I don't know everything and I realize that most of the members on here have a knowledge vastly greater than my own. I will look into the many threads that address this and I really do appreciate you guys helping me make the right choices before I jump head first into a wall :D

It is worth checking with http://www.cruiseroutfitters.com/ on the OME suspension stuff. You might be suprised at what they can do for you.

Personally, I think it is worth the cost to use a complete suspension system for a truck like yours. Going custom with a mix of suspension parts can work really well but can take time and money and knowledge to get it to work right. Also, IMO there is no reason to go with a mix of parts unless you need specialized performance from those parts. A complete kit like OME will give you a full system that is tuned to work together as a complete system and have no headaches.

For the off-the-shelf kits there is nothing better than the OME stuff IMO.

I'm guessing they are a very reputable company. Where are they located?

Found an old newspaper I remembered This is the truck in the most bare form I can find. My uncle, the person I practically stole my truck from,is driving and if you look closely you can see a white hat, the only visible part of me. Circa 2007[IMG]

Uh...yeah about as reputable as they come.

Definitely going to need a lift for those. And a decent amount of trimming.

I wish my parents would get me a set of duratracs. I'm debating going through another winter with my BFGs

Anyways, get that thing built up and lets go wheeling.

I will. There aren't many people to wheel with around here. We will have to meet up sometime when I'm in steamboat

Will I have to trim the actual metal part of my fender or just the liner, the flare, and hammer flat the weld?

Is there anything else I will need to buy after the lift that would be good to have? Wheel spacers maybe? I will be ordering the lift this week off of one of the many sites that sell OME lifts, just cotta compare prices
