Looks like my oil was really really gross. Maybe I'm being paranoid, or maybe I had mud in it. Anyway, I changed it. New purolator air filter in as well.

Now, I'm wanting to get an even louder muffler, as the one I have now isn't noticeable at all unless I'm WOT at 3k RPM (Which sounds like pure SEX), which doesn't happen much in my truck. I want a deep rumble at idle to like 2.5k.

I have an 18 inch Magnaflow center in, offset ouch, oval body on it now. Decided I'd go with the 14 inch, which I planned on getting originally, but I was worried it would be too loud. I went to look up some pricing on the 14 inch, and realized that the link I have saved from when I bought my current one says "Body length: 14 inches"

Now, I have to wonder, did I buy the 14 inch? If so, this is WAYYY too quiet. I can't even imagine the 18 inch and how quiet it would be.

I would crawl under my truck later today and measure it, but this rain is nasty, so we'll have to see.

I also need to figure out something to mend the loss of exhaust note from me cutting off that last foot of exhaust piping out to the side exit. It seemed to have lost a lot of tone.

Measured my muffler and it is, indeed, the 18 inch. Not sure what model, but that's good. Looks like I'll be moving up to a 14 inch with .5" bigger piping. I'll dump it after the axle.

Also, a pic of me on the RTI ramp at the car show. I can't wait until I can get more suspension travel. The locker let me get higher than most on the ramp, but I don't think it counts because my tire isn't on the ground like it should be.

When changing my oil, I noticed a huge hole the width of a quarter and a dent the size of a baseball in my main skid. Looks like I need to upgrade soon. My frame and crossmembers are real scratched too. Guess it's good that they're there. Might need to take it easier until I can get more armor.

Me and Matt! There were 2 cards. Matt is the dude with that mall crawler looking second gen, haha. He won the show, because, let's be honest, his truck looks very nice.

You should stray away from larger diameter piping, it actually takes away some power

Called up Toytec and ordered my parts today! Had them shipped home, so hopefully they'll go on as soon as I get home in May.

Also, I'm only doing the larger piping after the muffler, which won't affect it much, if it all.

Also. I'll copy paste my Facebook status from earlier.

The best badge. I peeled 3 of them. Kept 3 of them. 2 turned out "okay" enough to keep.

Plasti-dip is hard. You'll also notice that I removed the Ranger badge, which means I only have one "extra" badge left, which isn't even noticeable.

Pretty impressive you got it up that high on the ramp! Once you get the lift on you should have a nice flex

With the terminal I just had to had mine replaced as well and I had a go with plasti dipping my badges and ended up just giving up hahaha

Bigger piping will take away your low end torque on the first gens. Toyota was really good about getting a great flowing stock exhaust

I just don't belief all this talk about huge losses. I'm keeping the stock manifold and everything before the muffler. Muffler back isn't going to change that much.

The 3.4 only puts out 190 hp. 2 1/4" pipe is perfect for that. It'll loose some low end but gain some high. Unless it's supercharged haha

Almost 3 weeks after purchase of my parts from Toytec and no word of them shipping, so I'm assuming my leaves are still on backorder... Sad day.

Good news is I'll probably have the money for the new wheels by then, so hopefully I can pick up some tires on the cheap to wrap the wheels with so I can jump straight to 33s with the lift.

The next event took place in my truck, so I guess it's appropriate.

I'll just copy-paste my Facebook status for this.

"I get out to my truck this morning at 6:30 to go to work. I decide to look at my bike (which I left in the bed overnight) and I notice something odd. Someone had taken a $70 Harley Davidson bike lock and locked both of my wheels together, making it impossible to ride. I look high and low and can't find any keys. I'm screwed right? Nope. I drive to work and get some bolt cutters from the office, grab my dremel from my toolbox and get to cutting. 10 minutes later and one destroyed bike lock and my bike is free. Screw whoever did this."

Turns out it was some buddies of mine from the Motorsports club here at JMU and it was one of their bike locks and they thought "Taylor doesn't have anything to cut this with." They were wrong.
